@1993btvs I've got to say I disagree. Yes, its true that homophobia isn't as rampant as it used to be, but it's still ever present. Adam's flamboyance was a lot of the reason he didn't win Idol - Danny Gokey's fan-base mostly reverted to Kris when Danny was kicked off by default. He was the widowed preacher everyone loved - Kris was far more similar in that way than the flamboyant rocker (Adam).
Don't get me wrong - I love American Idol...but the best voice RARELY wins the competition. Some of the seasons make that incredibly obvious. Rueben Studdard, for instance, versus Clay Aiken. Wrong pick there. Fantasia Barino also shouldn't have won her season. Chris Daughtry should have won his. Adam should have won his. I listen to both genres - I listen to pretty much everything - so that isn't a bias for me. Range wise, pitch wise, and song-selection wise during the competition, Adam was superior to all of the contestants of his season...and yet, Kris Allen won.
Like so many other AI contestants who shouldn't have won, Kris Allen is NOTHING to the music industry. Regardless of personal decisions, though, it's evident that the wrong person won that season - record sales and radio play alone can attest to that. Kris Allen was a flop while Adam Lambert was a huge success - that alone speaks volumes as to who the true American Idol winner was that season, and it sure as hell wasn't Kris Allen, regardless of whether or not he got the title.

Isn't it an excellent CD ("Give It All Away")? I had hoped it would be good (with Theo's amazing voice and songwriting abilities), but it was even so much better than I had hoped. I hope people spread the word on it because it really is a CD worth having in your collection. It hasn't left my player since I got it!! Simply AMAZING!!!

What does it matter? What is imporant is that you love the song and you love Theo, and it should have nothing to do with his sexuality. ryan malcolm is in a band called Low Level Flight and their music is pretty good... as for the others, I don't know and I don't really care, I didn't like them even on the show. So yes I agree, most of them didn't have succes, but it would be wrong to say that nobody did.

It also depends on your definition of "success". So many people seem to think that "success" automatically means huge hits, big tours, and total stardom. For many musicians, however, success is achieved merely if they can continue to make a living simply by making music. It has to do with being able to do the job they love and simply making a living off of it, even if they aren't "stars" in the eyes of the general public.
You know what would be great? If I started trolling homosexual singers' videos and telling people they're gay. I think that would be a wonderful use of my time. I know for a fact that everybody cares what I think and won't find that the least bit pathetic.
Not sure if Mitch has announced anything yet. You might get a better response asking on his video clips because there would be more Mitch fans there, so they might be more up to date on what is happening with him. (We Theo fans tend to follow Theo's news more closely.) :-)

Mitch is a very nice guy and fun to watch in concert, but more talent than Theo? I don't think so - not even close! Don't get me wrong. As for sexuality, why does it matter? Nobody comments if singer is straight, so why does it matter if they are gay? It has no bearing whatsoever on a person's talent. Theo is an incredible singer/songwriter/musician. Who he is attracted to is irrelevant to anyone but him and whomever he is seeing. Mike, Theo just posted on his boards minutes ago that the CD release date has been moved back, so instead of March 31, it will be released around mid-April. So we have to wait a bit longer, but I know it will definitely be worth the wait!! :-)

I love Theo! He has such a beautiful,distinct voice - especially when he sings in the higher range and falsetto - so incredibly beautiful. But this song is soo digitally recorded over Theo's natural voice it kinda ticks me off - his voice is so MUCH better than that! I will be looking and listening for Theo's original voice on the radio and buying his FUTURE CD's IF (AND I hope they contain his original sound.) Because without it- it's poop! Like the saying goes...if it ain't broke....
Not even close!! With all due respect to Mr. Melo, Theo is SO much better!! Have you actually head him sing? This recorded song doesn't sound as good as Theo actually sounds (as they have mellowed - NOT Melo-ed - his voice and toned down the dynamics), but he doesn't sound a thing like Brian Melo.

I like Mitch, but he's not even close to the calibre of Theo's talent. I'll certainly be getting Mitch's CD when it comes out though. And of course I will be getting Theo's the very day it is released!! I can't wait!! (March 31 is the scheduled date!!)

As for sexuality, why does it matter? Nobody comments if singer is straight, so why does it matter if they are gay? It has no bearing whatsoever on a person's talent. Theo is an incredible singer/songwriter/musician. Who he is attracted to is irrelevant to anyone but him and whomever he is seeing. It doesn't affect his ability to make us feel the passion of the music, something he does so well! GO THEO!!

Mike, Theo just posted on his boards minutes ago that the CD release date has been moved back, so instead of March 31, it will be released around mid-April. So we have to wait a bit longer, but I know it will definitely be worth the wait!! :-)

I have seen Theo in concert, I went to top 3 tour when they came too Lloydminster and I'll tell you he IS perfect! So sexy and talented. His shoulders are broader than then look in this vid. Seriously all you negative people go back under your bridge you trolls! lol :)

Do you honestly think that this guy(and other past Idol winners)will ever hit the heights with the likes of AC/DC,Nickelback or Beyonce?What happened to the others before this guy(Potter,Malcom,Clarkson)?Don't hear much of them and the others anymore,do we and mind you about what I know.I am a volunteer DJ at a local radio station and I can tell you this,the only Idol that gets any air play is Underwood and she's fading fast.She,along with the others,aren't even in the top 20. Think about it.

I don't know what you mean by top 20 but I know the 2 albums they made are platinum (2x for the first) and "never too late" and "for the night I can't remember were huge hits... and most of all, I heard they are trying to go worldwide and I wouldn't be surprised if it worked..

The top 20 according to the Music Charts(most request single on broadcast media).But I honestly got to ask you,who is Hedley?Did he(they)ever compete in any of the Idol shows?I haven't even heard of these(this)guy(s).I(or the other broadcasters) get no requests for him whatsoever when we are on the radio,at least not to my knowledge.

hedley is the band led by Jacob Hoggard who finished in 3rd spot on Season 2 of Canadian Idol. They've had several hits here in Canada.

Yes they have,congrats to them!!But so has others like April Wine,Prism,Streetheart,Heart, The Guess Who and 20/30 years later,they can still get airtime,sell their CDs and still tour to sold out shows.Ryan Malcolm was the first Canadian Idol winner look what happened to him.Where is he now?

They have been nominated for Juno awards, but never won any.However,they did pick up 4 or 5 MMVA awards, which I have to say is damm good,but my point is,is that do you think that they will be still playing their singles that were put out in 2007,30 years from now like AD/DC,KISS,Heart,etc and no,I don't listen to this kind of music.

As much as I like them, I have to admit that I don't think their songs will become classics... But I don't think their succes will end soon, they will probably have a great career.. maybe not like ACDC but a better one than kalan porter for example.

Yah very true....Theo was the right person to win because he just has more overall talent than some of the other idols. Does anybody here disagree with what I said. I'm upset though because Theo is touring with top 3 idols but he isn't coming to where I'm from.... :(

I love Theo! He has such a beautiful,distinct voice - especially when he sings in the higher range and falsetto - so incredibly beautiful. But this song is soo digitally recorded over Theo's natural voice it kinda ticks me off - his voice is so MUCH better than that! I will be looking and listening for Theo's original voice on the radio and buying his FUTURE CD's IF (AND I hope they contain his original sound.) Because without it- it's poop! Like the saying goes...if it ain't broke....

Not even close!! With all due respect to Mr. Melo, Theo is SO much better!! Have you actually head him sing? This recorded song doesn't sound as good as Theo actually sounds (as they have mellowed - NOT Melo-ed - his voice and toned down the dynamics), but he doesn't sound a thing like Brian Melo.
