Hehe, well I had this game on super nintendo, but never got around playing it too much. I just started replaying it as I never finished this game, it is actualy pretty hard. I end up using Luigi as am not skilled enough using Mario on those jumps, as he jumps bit too low for my liking. ^^

And something I didn't know is that during the Lost Levels games, if you hit the Purple Mushroom, it costs you a life. (Which, I thought is wrong; aren't the mushrooms supposed to be good?)

Very brave to tackle the Lost Levels Billy, I only managed to finish this game on the GBA (which allows you to save after every level). Took me weeks, hehe.

Savestate is a button [usually the F2] On the computer that let's you save your process in a emulated game. Once retrieved [usually with the F4 button] You will start where you left off exactly..better then a games save style. Hope this helps

Savestates are already built into the emulator itself. As for Savesatet files. I believe you can download different save state files but am unware of any site that specailizes in it.
