  • Basically to me, he's a BPD and a cult leader to his fans. He is a dictator on his own website. Banning anyone who criticises him to scare all his fans to only speak nicely about him. He knows he has an attractive face and uses it to his advantage to lure in young girls and boys to idolise him. He creates tons of drama for the attention, for the vicious cycle to make people give him the attention he needs.

I also agree about the acting. I'm an actor, too. It was obvious.

  • Hi, I really like your views, I'm 22 as well and am blind and want to study psychology online as a uni degree. I love how people work as well and think what you said about him being a sociopath is true. Do you have skype, msn or fb?

  • My guess is a narc or histrionic personality disorder.

  • Everyone has their problems and there really is no "Normal" I do agree with you but I did want to say that because i feel its very important.

  • there's a name for shared psychotic disorder! folie a deux

  • Good vid, ... well measured / valid points / fair.

( in my much valued opinion. : )

  • You speak to my soul in ways I can't explain in so few characters.

  • @LochNessaM0nster im not sure but that sounds more like a hypochondriac. A friend of mine was diagnosed as one. She always has a fear of being ill and its a new sickness every week. She frequents her docs office so much shes in debt. Its crazy.

  • @sf160871 a good example of that are the Hauser (sp?) Brothers maybe? Their mother raised them to think that one or both I cant remember, were "special" beings. They were put on the earth to be worshipped by others. She told them that tjey were Jesus' second coming and they were to start preaching at age 30 to start their journey to aupreme being. Anyways the tragic end is they end up leading a small cult and committing murders. Scary that parents are the catalyst to those type situations.

  • @flairsofsunshine he really does spend a large amount of time editing his vids. He actually said in one that he hadnt slept in a very long time becauae he was workung on vids and he does it because he "loves his work". I think hes becoming upsessed with his online life and is delirious a large amount of the time hes making videos.

  • @Sleepyabess she says many times that shes not a professional by any means and more less her opinion.

  • These are some of the lies the woman has told: She used to have every eating disorder under the sun, she used to model, she used to be a singer, she had 10+ miscarriages/abortions throughout her life, she dated Nikki Sixx and he's still madly in love with her, she can set things on fire with her mind, etc. I can't make this shit up. The sad part is, while her two older daughters have wised up to her shit, she still has a 14-year-old in the home who genuinely believes everything she says.

  • I know a woman in her 40s who reminds me a LOT of both Shiloh and Greg. She has cancer, but she exaggerates it a lot. She often pretends to be really sick so that people can feel sorry for her and cater to her needs. She was in an on-and-off relationship with a drug-addicted 19-year-old for over two years, and has a long history of dating guys around that age. I think she dates young guys because the men around her age tend to have their shit together, and can see right through her manipulation.

  • btw, I think you are an excellent speaker.

  • It is amazing that you can have 110 likes and 0 dislikes speaking about someone as controversial as Onision. I think your video was beautifully put. Hurt people, hurt people. Bravo. I wish more people would understand this as opposed to throwing stones. I'm disheartened by the direction he has gone in, but feel that it stems from more of a mental illness rather then malicious intent. As an artist he has inspired me, so I hope he takes the steps to go down a better path and gets help.

  • At 12:50, I think I might understand what you're trying to say, but I don't know here's my shot: I think he tries to view himself as the archetype of the most correct human being to give him no reason to have low self esteem, and then degrades other people who lack those traits, whether they are flaws or not, to further elevate himself morally/ethically. He's created an archetype of himself, and people strive to become or fulfill//encompass "archetypes": roles that fulfill a purpose.

  • Thank God I found this video! seriously, you hit on so many points that have been floating around my brain for months. I currently got out of a friendship with a psychopath. I didn't realize he had the traits until I saw his worse side inflected on me. Seriously, you're extremely intuitive and have very similar ideas to me. Hopefully I can start posting videos too. Subscriber here!

  • I think he has a desire to "win" thing's/people, not just control them. If he doesn't get what he wants, he'll go to any length to try to obtain it. It's like a game to him. He see's something that opposes him as a challenge and will do anything, even if that mean's going to the extreme, to win. I don't think he has a mental illness, but I do believe he's an overemotional person that probably needs to see a counselor to deal with his emotions. Loved the vid btw. :P

  • This video was more than interesting and wouldn't mind watching more videos like this one.

  • This was very interesting, I was thinking about making a video like this. I study psychology in college. There is obviously something tweaked about him. He is a very complex human being with multiple layers of issues. It would take years to sort through every aspect of his mind.

  • I almost think this video should be posted to his site so HE can see this. Maybe it might be a good reality check for him, because everything you say makes sense. He might be able to at least offer up some explanations. Onision's stuff really is like a little Youtube soap opera, and I can't get away from it either lol.

  • Fascinating. A very sharp analysis of his obsessions and traits. You really should go on making videos.

  • When you talk about your fondness for psychology, it sounds like me!

I want to be a criminal profiler as well. :3

Really interesting video, I like your take on it. I suspect Münchausen as well.

  • Its not bad. Munchhausen is a possible diagnosis. but u should stop making videos like that. you are not a professional, psycho-analysis is a very complex field of science and i guess u dont have the knowledge nor the experience in diagnosing somebody, especially through the internet. what u r practicing is called "housewifepsychology" in germany. anyway good luck, greetings from germany =)

  • Your insight is unique and it's very interesting. I can't bring myself to like this though, it's far too conclusive/like an e-diagnosis, even though you did point out that it was your opinion. Thanks for sharing your views though I shall thumb you up as you need much more. Your video was refreshingly unbiased and rational.

Some elements I can agree with, psychology is 'mah thing' though. Gergles is a tricky guy.

  • I agree with some points stated in the video: for instance his need for control is definitely important; he vigorously edits his videos to show what he wants to be seen. That is why I view he does know what he is doing, it's like a manipulation game to him. His subscribers (fans) are his toy; I feel; to control. Each 'drama' becomes more and more controversial. Most of his audience are young so they are more easily pliable to be controlled than perhaps those that are older.

  • R.T.Carroll points out that labeling a child an indigo is an alternative to a diagnosis that implies imperfection, damage or mental illness, which may appeal to many parents, a belief echoed by academic psychologists."

  • and often perceived by friends and family as being strange; possess a clear sense of self-definition and purpose; and also exhibit a strong inclination towards spiritual matters from early childhood. Indigo children have also been described as having a strong feeling of entitlement, or "deserving to be here." Other alleged traits include a high intelligence quotient, an inherent intuitive ability, and resistance to authority.(..)

  • @ressabrak I will just copy-paste some information about indigo children, I myself think nothing of this but I could imagin that if someone is raised like this it will leave a mark.

From Wikipedia: "Indigo children is a pseudoscientific label given to children who are claimed to possess special, unusual and/or supernatural traits or abilities. (..)Descriptions of indigo children include the belief that they are empathetic, curious, strong-willed, independent, ..

  • You are brilliant and beautiful.

  • has* oops.

  • an interesting take, but i don't think he was munchausen. shiloh may have it, but not onision. i think he has narcissistic personality disorder. i'm a psych major. i'm not qualified to diagnose anyone, but that's what i believe.

  • Wow, I couldn't stop watching this video. I'm so glad I did. I have never heard of that syndrome before, and my boyfriend and I have been noticing his sister in law has been coming up with nutty medical problems that she has. Her latest one was a brain tumor. She has shown us NO evidence of it, and they're a close family and we've never seen/heard of her getting any treatment for this. She reminds me of Shiloh a lot, actually. Anyways... can't wait to show him this video. :]

  • I love this video! I had said to a friend before, after the whole sepsis bullshit exploded, that I really believed that he had Munchausen by proxy, and it was awesome to hear it from someone else. I feel like I was the only person that really felt that he wasn't just a huge asshole, but that he really has some psychological issues, and truly needs help. Sadly, from what I have seen of Gregs behavior, I highly doubt that he can accept this.

  • @AngelofTuesdays I am with you. I actually interviewed Onision on my old radio show a few months before the divorce. I was surprised by how polite and cool he was. I think there is a good guy who has psych issues that are bigger then he is and that his mental illness is taking over. He has mentioned getting help before. People who get help usually talk about it long before they do it. I have my fingers crossed for him. If he could get his shit together, it could help a lot of people.

  • Also I think Shiloh is the one that is completely beyond help. Onision might be able to still get help, even though his behavior is so ingrained at this point. But Shiloh has constantly lied in such a depraved manner w/ no remorse and she never learns from it. It's extremely disturbing the depths that she will sink to get attention and to hang on to him. Lying about the most serious and severe of subjects is beyond sick. And she does it so much like breathing air. She doesnt care who is hurt.

  • i think greg played along with the memory loss thing just so he could have a....companion. around. to do things. yeah. haha

  • i think shiloh is the munchuaseny one. greg always directs all questions about shiloh toward shiloh and doesn't really answer for her anymore. and if he was munchausen byproxy i dont think they would ever break up.

  • Onision reminds me of Mr. Mac from Boy Meets World

  • You are beautiful! :)

  • Onision has said several times that his father is an alleged child molester. In a video (that if you ask, I'll try to find it, it was on his speaks of him crying talking about his life during a photo montage) when the picture of his father pops up, he says something like "I hate him for what he did to my sister". Once he was asked if his dad ever sexually abused him and he said "No, well, I don't know, I really don't remember anything before the age of 11." Disturbing. :'C

  • I like you a lot. I would love to sit down with you over a cup of coffee and discuss the world, you seem like someone I could relate to and trust, which doesn't happen a lot. I think you have a lot of good points there. I heard somewhere that Onision was raised as an Indigo child, and it seems his mother was more around him then his dad, so mother issues are very possible. He is certainly an interesting case to study.

  • @sf160871 What's an indigo child, if you don't mind me asking.

  • He is also trying to sketch out a bigger picture of himself. He's using big words in every sentence, he keeps saying he's the image everyone should follow. He also has what my dad has, he's not able to mirror his mistakes. He can't say; yeah, i did this wrong, and i'm sorry. That's what my father has, and with that my dad & Onision are mentally abusive, by saying the other person made all the mistakes, that there's no flaw in his behavior.

  • Wonderful.

  • Thank you for this, it was really eye opening! and I think you do speak very well, so you don't have anything to worry about! haha, but I really hope he watches this fully!

  • You just earned yourself a subscriber. (:

  • Those generally seeking attention, (ie Shiloh) usually don't go as far which is why Greg and Shiloh are always doing dumb shit, to take attention away from another lie about to fall flat on its face (like Shiloh being preggers 4+ times).

  • Great video. I think one of the illnesses afflicting Onision - is munchausen by proxy and Shiloh has munchausen, so that's why they keep going back to each other. I agree with you, that is the reason why they keep going back to one another - very similar afflictions. They both exploit fake illnesses to get others' attention, as well as to hang on to each other. It's very sad and they're extremely disturbed. Unfortunately I don't see them getting any sort of help any time soon.

  • Great effort on the video, interesting insights but it takes more than a deep interest in psychology and psychiatry to correctly diagnose a client. What separates a Munchausen patient from one who is generally seeking attention is that those with Munchausen and Munchausen by proxy is that these patients will actually hurt themselves, manipulate diagnostic tests, and make themselves sick to be put IN the hospital (or do this to a loved one in cases of by proxy).

  • @bakingmomma I'd say Shiloh has Munchausen not Onision.

  • Good analysis. Keep in mind that the labels we use... like ADD, Borderline, etc are arrived at through a political, economic process. Sociopath versus Psychopath are imo tried and true and you have hit an essential point of distinction in your vid about this child man-boy when you label him a sociopath, which is what he is, and where his need for attention comes from, which is why he made that video about that girl.....and which is why you or I probably would not do such a vid!

  • this is very insightful, i have the same problem, the difference is that i am aware of it, but i can't "OPEN THE LID" nowadays, i have open it but foolishly close it back, messed up man.

  • Once he has them in the group they feel accepted and wanted. Once any of them try to go against his views he deems them a "hater" and bans them from the site. This humiliation is a warning to his fans, so most of them defend him because they don't want to be a "hater" as well. They just want to be accepted. It's a sick game that he's playing with young minds and it scares me.

  • @cyoachim10 Hes Borderline Personality Disorder. It's obvious. He's controlling, selfish and needy from everyone.

  • First, I'd like to thank you for not resorting to childish name-calling as many do when it comes to criticizing Onision. I too have become fascinated by how disastrous he is. Through his need for control he's learned the art of manipulation. He feeds on young impressionable minds, many of which are troubled, abused, or self-questioning as can be seen from their posts to his site. They look to him as their wise leader for help. It's scary and cultish, but you can tell he loves the power.

  • what personality disorder do i have when i want to lick you all over

  • @kilkolio common sense personality disorder?

  • he has borderline personality disorder

  • Great video. The subject matter I'm not really crazy about because I just don't care that much about onision (other than getting lolz) but you have a really great presence. You should really make more videos. I'm subbing.

  • I disagree with the Munchasusen, Onision doesn't have it, I think Draculoh could have it maybe? My guess is that Onision has narcissistic personality disorder, google it - its him. I agree that both of these people need to seek counciling. They also need to get away from each other because they only feed into their mental issues.

  • very interesting :) To analyze his behaviour and make conclusions about him makes sense but to say he has mental problems.. I feel like that would just give him a reason/excuse for his actions instead of realizing that he really is just not a good person :/ people go through shit all the time but there are some who deal with them and have good intentions and then there are people like him who don't deal with them and "attack" other people with the intention of hurting them..

  • @xXJewelxPegassusXx oh wow I'd never really thought of it that way; good point!

  • also, when onision "cries", he always looks fake. He comes off as insincere as you possibly could.

  • he's rather a lot more simple than people make him out to be. He's just a guy who learned the ropes of youtube, how to build a fanbase and become a partner for endless amounts of money. It's all a game, a show. I'm sure they know that.

  • While a part of my is almost ashamed that I found this through my fascination with the train wreck that is Onision, I can't help but post a response. I think you hit a couple of nails on their heads in your analysis, and I had actually previously come to the same conclusion about hi having munchausen syndrome by proxy. One of my good friends of almost 20 years has munchausen so I'm fairly familiar with it first hand.

Seriously? I'm already almost out of characters? Curse you tube!

  • @skyzefawlun I'll just have to reply to myself I guess, seeing as I was hardly done with my first thought, and this little box isn't nearly enough space to respond to your nearly 20 minutes of thoughts and observations. For the record, you were hardly rambling. I found it very concise and articulate. I'd say you've been paying attention in class ;) I have to say, I could get lost in conversation with you for days. I like your brain. No, I'm not a zombie.

  • @skyzefawlun thank you so much! i appreciate that more than i can express :]

  • But the lack of control and the desire for ratings and the mandate of you-tube is to allow free media for everyone ,to prevent them and stop someone like onision would be in violation of their mandate the only way to stop onision is through legal challenge. So he can and will post unchecked then If they close him down all he's gotta do is restart another account. remember LEGAL

  • He's a media whore that's it. pure and simple she suffers from Munchhausen an he suffers from being greedy

  • Very good video, even if we disagree on our take on what Greg is all about. Lots for me to think about anyway.

  • @ModerateMartian I'm glad- that was the goal :]

  • @creepykels Yeah most of which is not specifically about Greg but the other stuff to do with the abusers, about me, me, me, my motivations for exposing the abusers and manipulators is not so difficult to understand... I also think I have some sort of psychological stress related issues, fibro possibly, much like a Pepsi bottle - the stresses build up inside and cause pain... Whatever.

  • really cool vid some very interesting points love your hair to :)

  • @dragoon650 aw thank you very much!

  • What I don't get with people is how they can't just move on. I've been through quite a shit load of things in my lifetime as a child and as a teen and I can just say "who cares" and move on. Why can't Onision do the same? Seriously? Are people so weak to move on or something? I mean, we all go through some sort of fuck up in life, such as criminal behavior or attention seeking, so why can't people just move on?

I love your unique style. I envy your shiney pale skin.

  • @SpikedYum I can understand that totally. I myself am not completely over the horrors I have witnessed but I can at least deal with them because I WANT to. I guess it's just harder for other people, you know?

And thank you so much for the compliment :3

  • @creepykels Yeah, I guess it is harder for most people. Not everyone can move on. What horrors have you seen, if I may ask? You don't need to share if you don't want to, or if you don't want others to see but are willing to tell, the Pm is available. :)

  • btw...i love the snake bites

  • @ThothUnknown thank you so much :D

  • You are amazing. You kick SO much ass! :D

  • @AstraVex *blushes profusely* thank you so much!

  • thank you for making this a video response i appreciate it

  • @ThothUnknown thank you for helping me get it out of my system in the first place!

  • I didn't intend to follow this whole drama at first, but then I started to and, well, I continue because I realized that Greg/Shiloh's relationship sounds very much like my relationship with one of my ex's. I was this insecure girl who needed somebody to hold on to, and my ex was very much like Greg here. I can relate to everything you described here - it matches my ex almost perfectly, except we (or he) didn't make videos. Just saying.

  • Also, I think psychology is pretty much BS. Like you, I have been interested in the human mind all of my life and am a former psych student..I stopped studying when I realized that psychology is still very rudimentary and I think that in many cases it does more harm than good.

  • @justkittykate Interesting input, thanks for responding :] I guess we'll have to agree to disagree :] And I hope I didn't come off as not being a supporter of all human beings- the point was not to be critical by any means. Just me thinking aloud :]

  • Some good points but I disagree when you say that his concerns are mundane and implying that there is something wrong with caring about what you feel are "small" issues. He has some very virtuous parts to him. I agree that he may have things he needs to work out, but I admire that he's honest about it. Everyone has issues but many put on a mask. I'm not particularly a supporter of him by the way, more of a supporter of all human beings.

  • Personally I think he is a repressed homosexual. He is so fake at every level.

More Importantly he is a wanker who deserves a smack in the face. Fist Therapy has its place. And you really have your head screwed on for a 16 year old.

  • @calvin8hobbs I'm 22, but when I was 16 I had a lot of traumatic experiences so I sometimes still think I have a part of me that's 16 still trying to to live out normal 16-year-old things, if that makes any sense. Oh and thanks for the documentary suggestion- I'm nuts about documentaries!

  • Search out a documentary called The Trap. Its a real eye opener and fascinating if you interested in psychology.

  • well said. I hope he does get help.

  • @defusedplanet Thank you so much. I hope so too.

  • Comment removed

  • You've made a great start I'd say. Gives us all something to ponder.

  • @KawaiiKemonomimi thank you so much :]

  • [2nd comment 'cause ofchar limit]

I'm interested in psychology too, having been 'afflicted' with OCD all my life (and in therapy for a year.) I find myself trying to understand papers about theories about 'how it works' on google scholar from time to time. Watching this video made me realise I've been neglecting thinking about the interesting 'personal' side of psychology and focusing on neurological stuff in my reading. Thanks for the nudge in that direction, i'll see what I can find to read =p

  • @Happy0 If you look up certain mental states that you're particularly interested in, it's easy to weed out the interesting articles vs. the blabby ones. I'm glad I could make you think, that was the goal :D Thanks again!

  • Impressive, confident and articulate video for a 20 minute youtube 'debut' - I couldn't do that, haha. It's seldom I'm interested enough to watch a 20 minute video of this sort of style, but this was one of those times. I didn't notice any rambling. I particularly liked your comments at the end and throughout, about how we should be approaching these sorts of issues.

  • @Happy0 Aw yay I'm so happy to hear that! Thank you :D

  • I agree he's a sociopath and pretty much most of what you've said. I think both he and Shiloh have serious mental issues and they both need professional help. I don't support him continuing to post videos and have a youtube partnership. I hope its revoked. His behaviors are affecting and hurting the vulnerable minds of the young people who follow his videos. I am not sure about him having Munchausen, I'm more inclined to think he is simply a narcissist.

  • @MizMizzy Munchausen by proxy mostly comes to mind because of his constant want of attention for being a "good boyfriend" in terms of taking care of people, but i also agree with you on the narcissism issue. either way, he shouldn't be dolling out advice to young vulnerable people as you said.

  • great video. i'd like to get a psychoanalysis from you sometime soon if possible! =) na i have no clue as to who you are talking about, but they sound interesting.... you should check out the movie The Poughkeepsie Tapes, because it's a horror film that centers around psychological profiling. take care!

  • @spaulding069 thank you! and that is one of my absolute favorite films: so haunting. i hear they want to redo it though and if they do i'll be upset! thanks again!

  • @creepykels no problem! =) and for some reason the film Megan Is Missing came to mind for a movie you would probably really like that's pretty disturbing and also reminds me of The Poughkeepsie Tapes somewhat. take it eazy and keep in touch!
