  • I know there can't be an estimated time to be on the waiting list but I was just curious what were other people's time spent on the waiting list? I know I just need to trust God but it's so hard to plan around an unknown amount of time.

  • I waited 2 months on the wait list

  • im going to the st.louis home next week on the 9th and im scared shitless.

  • amazing

  • i just got on the waiting list a couple days ago =)

  • That's awesome. I'm so happy for you putting your pride aside and seeking help. That is very ADMIRABLE!

  • hey i graduated a few weeks ago!!!!!!!!!

mercy has saved my life! God is totally there!

all you girls! never think you can't get healing! God has done so much in my life ok! and he wants you to trust him! and i am so excited that u are going to mercy! its teh best place!

make right choices now while u are waiting in the waiting list ok!!! i beleive u my sistas!!!

  • im in the application proccess. i want to heal, but im still scared. what if god doesnt even help me? what then?

  • God can do anything. He will help you. You just have to trust Him girl...He will help you.

  • I have mixed feelings about this. Sure, troubled young woman need structure which it no doubt provides. These young woman suffer from serious issues needing serious, professionally based help.

  • there are people with degrees working with people in this program, just a thought...

  • I feel Nancy Alcorn's motives in creating Mercy Ministries and it's residencies were indeed pure. However there are a lot of girls who's needs were not met by the program and some who were downright mistreated. My girlfriend was one of them.

Now, she has improved and healed more than she ever has by being surrounded by people that love her and who helped her realize she didn't need a "program" to obtain God's love, HEALING, and mercy. Jesus came to this earth to give us that directly.

  • Thank you for your input, I am glad your girlfriend is doing better! Praise God! However, I do not believe Mercy Ministry is claiming that a program is needed...it is just a means to an end, and for some is a much needed step towards the goal of understanding the freedom of God's love. Either way, what matters is God getting ahold of a person's life, so for that I am thankful for her!

  • I'm thinking about applying..

I love Mercy, I live righttt near one of the homes

  • Go girl! Make that call... ;o) I know some of the people who run the UK home and they're amazing. Why not get in touch with the people near you and see what you think... Go girl! There's such a lot to be discovered...

  • I want to apply but I'm scared. It seem a little like jail and I won't be able to talk to my mom.

  • mercy ministries isnt anything like jail, if thats what your refering to then it is certainly not. maybe to some people it might seem like you are being locked up but these people care about you and they want to show you a way, they shouldn't make you not talk to your family members but i would find out more about it, just to be curious.

  • Hun, don't be scared. I went to Mercy Ministries myself. Yes, there are a lot of rules but once you're there it doesn't seem like anything at all. You are allowed to talk to your parents three times a week.

  • thank you for sharing your personal experience with Mercy!

  • I am a Mercy Ministries graduate... if you're thinking about applying, please do if your serious about it!!!

  • This is such a cool charitable program. I'm very happy that this exsists. The reality of these ever growing probelms needs something to prevent them. It all begins with one single choice, to apply. Life without risk is dangerous, so take it.

  • oh my goshh..

    simply amazing!!

im thinking about applying to mercy for about 3 different things.

  • oh please do, its meant o be so good. im on the waiting list.

  • God Bless u Mercy!!!! =] =] =] =]

you've helped bring these girls to Jesus and show them that they are the beautiful and valued daughters of the King above <3

  • When we talk about anorexia, let's not totally blame "hip hop" ... let's stop pointing fingers here and look at the issue here: girls who are dying with anorexia. As an anorexia survivor ... I can definitely tell you that everything made me seem fat when in all actuality I was skinny as can be.

  • does anyone know if this is a real song or not? i have been searching for the name of it foreverrrrrrr.....

  • it is a real song but hard to find because it's mainly available only in new zealand...'Lifeline' by Brooke Fraser (on her album 'what to do with daylight'

  • It's called Lifeline by Brooke Fraser.

  • These things have been a problem for many many years now but it's gotten much worse over the last 15 to 20 years with the rise of the hip hop culture. With this cultures increasing popularity and message that degrades women and reduces them to mere sexual objects to be used and then discarded, it's no wonder the increase of these problems among young women. It's time for men to stand up and be REAL men, not gangstas, not thugz, not pimps but real men of honor and character

  • i think its actually just people needing Jesus. yea those things dont help the situation. But its people searching for soething to fill the 'God-shaped hole' in heir hearts.

  • On behalf of all men I apologize for the weak character that we have exhibited. I apologize for all of the pressure that we have put on you to have an unhealthy and unrealistic image of yourselves. You are beautiful just the way you are

  • The king is enthralled by your beauty; honor him, for he is your lord.

    Psalm 45:11

You are fearfully and wonderfully made

    Psalm 139:14

All beautiful you are, my darling; there is no flaw in you

    Song of Solomon 4:7

  • Thanks for posting such beautiful truth, Justin!

  • it's an very good nd special video.. may the best I've ever seen.. but also.. .. hmh.. it hurts a bit...

  • I wish Mercy has an outpatient program or something in Edinburgh. There's nothing here. Nothing.

  • i am a mercy girl from sdy aus, from a mercy girl who is waiting. keep going, i made it though mercy. it worth the wait

  • hi, i live in new zealand, i have depression, eating disorder and suicidal thoughts, my family dont understand what im going through cause they are not christians, i think mercy will help me, i need help so i can live again

  • It's so important to find someone that you can talk to. It is not their job to "fix" you, but a good friend can encourage and pray for you, don't give up! Jer. 29:11. He has great plans for your life, believe it! don't let any thought rob you. stand on God's promises!

  • Hun, call 0508 2 MERCY to get an application for the NZ home. They will be more than happy to hear from you.

  • Hey, I'm trying to get into mercy ministries. My mom doesn't want me to go for some reason. She thinks that it is a kult. Is there anyway you could help me to convice her that it isn't? She never believed in Jesus or the power that he has and is afriad of something. I don't know what yet. But, I will.

  • Mercy is amazing!! I graduated just over a year ago. My parents had thought the same thing, but after we went for a tour, God gave us all peace that this place was for real and His presence was all over the place!!

  • The song is called Lifeline by Brooke Fraser. Her albums are called What to do with daylight released in 2003 in New Zealand and Albertine released in 2006 in New Zealand.

  • I am a St. Louis grad and it too saved my life. Now I stand amid a new life that I could neve have dreamed of. My life is nothing short of a miracle and it started with God opening the door to Mercy in my life.

  • all the best girls, im a mercy UK graduate, it changed my life round
