It is word/symbol association. In the UK election the conservative party logo is a tree. People programmed by their television to aspire or react to "green" symbolism vote for the tree symbol. Now they can passively watch the corrupt zionist one world illuminati government of the green tree symbol they were programmed to vote for destroy all life on earth. Power to the people.
Hi IWantDemocracyNow, you know the word GREEN is not qualifiable. Who decides what is a GREEN product and what is not. Green is a color, but the cars of the Greenwheels compagny are red...you see what I mean? I hate this Green Washing. But it happens all the time, same for words like "responsible" and so on. Thanks for the post.
Its called Green Washing, Its a play off words of Brain Washing. Its what corporations do to improve their image. They make empty gestures to make people think they are more "green". Like the oil company BP changing its name to "Beyond Petroleum". They want people to think they are investing in the future and more green sources of energy. Only a small percentage of their money, some where in the neighbor hood of 4% goes to researching alternative fuels. This is an example of "Green Washing".
That would be a good book to write, it needs to be written quite frankly. "Green" "Sustainability" "Organic" have kind of become buzz words more than any sort of real descriptor.
ah, but let me tickle your brain with this one: can a computer be seen as green if you take into account all the adds that you see that would otherwise have been printed on pamphlets?
The environmental movement has been hijacked by eugenicists, neo-feudalists and people who go 'green' for the sake of making green.
But there are legitimate environmental concerns (like huge oil spills) and legitimate reasons to be genuinely environmentally friendly, but the mainstream establishment gives little attention to that, and prefers to make us all seem like undesirable, useless breathers, carbon monsters, while the elite all go to Copenhagen in private jets and limos.
I agree, a great deal of hype surrounding the word "green". Of course all words are abused in the quest to sell. In my opinion, the only way to live truly ecologically, sustainably would be to live in large, rural, mostly self-sufficient communes. I believe, designed correctly, we can still maintain our individuality and our individual sense of freedom.
Of course the old symbol was the torch.

Grass is not green, lawns are a huge waste of resources and most people use tons of pollunting chemicals on them.
