Anybody else ever tried turning the tables on them? I don't mean asking them for money, that's useless. I go hunting for scammers on dating sites, I reel them in, and just string them along for as long as possible. This way, I waste their time, and cause some laughs! I've been doing it for 5 years, and I know all of the signs now. If anyone wants to know how to spot them, just e-mail me, i've written an 8 page article covering it all.

I would love to talk to you. I keep running into these guys. I find one picture posted on different sites, different names. etc. I would love to forward you some of them. I can find them easily for you. I just erased months of emails on 2 of them last night, but I have their fake names and numbers. I possibly have 2 more snagged right now. So far no request for money, and I have changed all my passwords, and bank info ...One this week was pretty bad. 5 min he was asking !

The scammer always asked you to send he or her money through Western Union because you cannot trace them. They are always using the yahoo id

I was almost scammed by a romance scam but avoided it because i wasn't silly enough to send money. I told the woman a firm no and that ended the emails I had from her.

NEVER SEND THEM MONEY no matter how much you want to trust them.

I had married very young to a military pilot. After 20 years together we divorced. After a few years I went on Match.com. A man contacted me from Michigan. He was a retired Army captian. He e-mailed and talked on the phone for 4 months. He was not a scammer he was a a recovering crack addict. Never again !

He moves a lot around Beijing because he can't pay the rent because no one will fall for his scams but he continues trying. I was recently scammed by some fraud who said they had to stay in Nigeria. I was totally unaware about online dating scams were this common. I had no idea how lying and deceitful people could be this bad. She pretended that she had no food, couldn't pay her rent, and put a guilt trip on me. That was the worst $100 I ever spent... The second time the fraud asked for money I had bad vibes and left. I felt like a fool after I researched the truth.

Well I was scammed by a nigerian 25 year old and I thought it wouldn't happen again but before I was scammed out of over 1000 dollars which I couldn't afford and now someone is sending me gifts and stuff to send over to Nigeria that he is paying for childrens shoes and clothes so i thought well I'm not paying this time so it must be legitimate. Two years ago, I communicated with a supposed Russian woman named Oksana by email, exchanging messages and photos. They were really nice ones too, of this extremely attractive blond woman, but probably not even her at all, in fact, I think it was really a guy on the other end.
