I would never use this with my iPhone due to the necessity of a bulky case. If I were using a Blackberry, however, with the mat charge capability built-in, I would definitely pick one up.
I am surprised by the comments here... the idea is that you are only plugging the mat in. Yes, for some devices you need the adapters, but no more using up five plug sockets to charge five devices. Technology will progress even further in the future and will negate the need for adapters and special cases.
you are right dave, but I agree with everyone else. There are quite pointless unless you are happy having that case on all the time. If I like the case then this is extremely useful because I would just need one mat. But these cases are huge. Bulky at the bottom and I don't see many people keeping those types of cases in their pockets. Awesome idea but further development is needed. Previous post about built in capabilities with new generations is a great idea.
To be honest, i'd much rather have a nice looking case that doesn't have a lump on the bottom, and charge it with a cable or a dock, than have to use those horrible cases, and put them on top of a mat that has a cable anyway, not much point in it, but a nice idea! needs more development and devices need to come with wireless charging capabilities built in!
The problem I have with these charging mats is that there is no real purpose for them. It would be great if you lay any portable electronic device on a mat and it would charge, but of course we don't have that technology available yet. The fact that you have to keep your devices in a case or plug it in just completely defeats the purpose. And how ridiculously expensive would it be to use this? Cases and adapters for all your devices that cost so much. It's a joke. Why don't you mention that?
So the device is still plugged lol btw the case looks stupid :(

Theres nothing wrong with a standard plug, this achieves nothing, you still have to plug the mat in

The only way this could work for me would be if the batteries have the technology built in. Otherwise its useless.

its the same damn thing, its worthless sinse you need a case,

@akaaxl Of course. But imagine if iPhones come with those pins built-in.

Totally agree with RobinScott93 .... Waste of money since specific cases needed for devices.

I think they should just put the plug in for the port seperated from the case.

not crazy about the cases but I do like the idea of the mat..much better than carrying around a charger.

If I'm still plugging devices in, it's worthless isn't it? The only difference is that now I'm paying loads of cash more for the inconvenience.
