If two people can do a job and the job is delegated to the subordinate then the manger should be fired and the subordinate who finds the balance in the reasonable cost should lead the way. In this case You lose people who have potential and are able to operate on each level equally (really talented people - very rare)... but in Your model You are trying to avoid employ wrong people in... so according to it unemployment =should be equal= that people shouldn't be employed anywhere !!! Moreover You recommend to fit people to the existing team - means no changes - no reorganization - and shares slowly meltling down !!! amazing system !!!
I was watching all your podcast - I agree with some of the ideas but not with all of them (I feel too much politics strategy in some of them and forcing procedures, tools, schemas which should work always - nothing work always good) !!! ;) e.g.: It is possible to have 7/7/7/7 in DISC model - but You think at once that such people are cheaters and You recommend to not employ them.
The DiSC model 1-7 digits are based on 28 selection questions. If in all cases you prefer a D over a C option, your underlying D will be very high, and necessarily, C will be very low. Since all questions are like this, it is fundamentally impossible to be 7777. Mark may say he will not hire you. I add to that: If you say you are 7777 on your resume, I will not even invite you for an interview.
