Are you going to make some videotutorials? I really appreciate your previous tutorials, so I was wondering if you're planning something like that...it would be nice to have a good reference for iOS games from start to end ;)
Well "Blood King" is done folks. I'm just making final touches. It's a short game but I believe it's worth playing. I'm going to jump back to Shulu for IOS right after.
I'm working on a short trailer in a bit, then update my website. I will let you know when trailer done, then I will put on iTunes.
awesome game, i think making the camera positioning abit like dead space would make the left button seem abit smaller, how did you set up the screen to control the camera?
That's why I want to make it first person now simply because iPods are too small for my eyes. I keep focusing hard and squinting when there's action going on, and I don't want you guys to go through that. I want you to see what's coming and where your running.
That camera screen thing is default when your playing in or extending Simple Pawn class. Although, I am controlling a placeable pawn with the default camera. Usually folks would attach a camera to the placeable pawn, but I have it opposite right now. Which makes it easy for me to attach objects without script. Also I can look in all directions. It's not hard, but if I learn a bit more about setting custom animtrees then I will definitely do a lot more on mobile.
Hey did you bake the lights on your textures? Cause your character always look lit from below. He has light on his chin most of the time. Was just wondering .. xd
I haven't set any light maps for the player or anything. Just props. There is a little environment light script in it's pawn class, but I don't think that is affecting it. Things are a bit brighter on iPod and my PC than what you see here on Youtube. That was something I was making sure. I have to get a flash light working if possible in mobile.
I haven't got around to it. I will look into the face issue though.
