The point about this bill is that they even tried to prevent people from growing gardens. It is obvious that they want the people dependent on them for food when the SHTF and therefore forced to accept their agenda for us.
A further check on this bill indicates, it is not illegal to grow your own produce for your own consumption, but is apparently intended to make produce sold at places such as farmers markets more traceable in the event of pathogen contamination, a bill similar to this is said to have passed the senate, each must do their own homework and be vigilant.

I want everyone to be aware, and not assume anything can not be done by our government. Since moving here from the US I have noticed the quality of produce compared to what can be had in the US large supermarkets is so much better though cost is dearer. This bill only applies to facilities that sell the food they grow and have been profitable on average for 3 years. As i understand it, it is setting higher standards for quality control. The problem with our food being unsafe isn't that we need more regulations, it is that the regulations we have are very loosely enforced and this bill makes no provisions for further enforcement. It will make business much harder for small farms and giving more power to large corporations like Monsanto.
I hate to say it, but, I could see this coming a long time ago. they won't be happy until we are all totally enslaved with no freedoms what so ever... Actually the are very close, we are already born into slavery. they are just really good at disguising it!

If it had provided facts and details where the Bill is already impacting on personal freedom that would have been more convincing to me. I also cannot see how such a threat to personal freedom can be policed. It is untenable.

This may not have been the best source to base all our opinions on, however I do encourage you, also, to look deeper. I want everyone to be aware, and not assume anything can not be done by our government. There are so many things our forefathers never intended or planned for, and I believe we have grown too comfortable in our trust of those in control. We should be in control.

Since moving here from the US I have noticed the quality of produce compared to what can be had in the US large supermarkets is so much better though cost is dearer. I believe this is due to the fact that GM foods have not yet flooded this market. I fear it is only a matter of time. I am by nature a lefty environmentalist. I am horrified by the evident corporate corruption of governments and our earth.

This bill did not pass and never had a chance of passing. It is a disturbing piece of legislation and we have to keep our eye on things like this and where these kinds of things originate from. This video, however, is fear mongering at it's best and takes a very low road to circumvent rational and intelligent discussion about the issue. Instead the video simply takes something peculiar and unjust and blows it up into something it is not, negating any real character the video possesses.

This bill only applies to facilities that sell the food they grow and have been profitable on average for 3 years. As i understand it, it is setting higher standards for quality control. The problem with our food being unsafe isn't that we need more regulations, it is that the regulations we have are very loosely enforced and this bill makes no provisions for further enforcement. It will make business much harder for small farms and giving more power to large corporations like Monsanto.

It may have died last time but just like the monster in the movies, you think they are dead but they keep getting back up for another attack. We need to replace the old timers and get fresh blood in congress and watch out for these kind of things.

That bill might have been killed in the Senate, don't know. You are indeed right and we should research those bills. S.510 was passed in 2010 by the LAST Senate, and it died in committee. People, people, please research this crap: all Congressional bills are online.
