  • @egeek10 protesting IS a constitutional right---see the first amendment.

Americans DO agree with the efforts of OWS because they see the problems caused by economic disparity and a system that rewards the failures of the rich while punishing everyone else. Of course, they haven't been turned into corporate lackeys and stooges like you.

  • So, is George Soros behind this?

  • you guys can fuck off, yeah great idea put the government in even more control over the economy because they are really trustworthy when it comes to regulation, regulation caused this mess, governments creating schemes which encouraged lending to people who could not pay back their debts, for the purpose of raising home ownership, which in turn created the housing bubble which in turn sparked off this whole crisis.

  • @ImEuanAndIGotsSkeelz

you sound like a clueless Tea Qaeda cunt.

  • @geffel thats a really intellectual response there.

  • They are thugs infringing on the private property rights of the park’s owners, but that’s what they wanted, to steal it for their own use, the rights of everyone else, including other members of the public be damned. That’s what this movement is, a Marxist attempt to take things and not have to earn or pay for them.

  • It always strikes me as odd that they repeat the words of the leaders talking, like it's a church service. It is basically a cult of Marxists who think they can worm their way into the mainstream by protesting the banks, and hoping people will ignore their other agenda items. It is even odder still that these admitted Marxists chose to “occupy” a private space, when they could have easily gone and taken an overall small chuck of say the vary public central park.

  • @WRCis The reason for the repeat (which is called "mic-check") is that they're not legally allowed to use any amplification. Admittedly it is a bit annoying to have to stop after each phrase and have it repeated, but its the only way everyone in the large crowds can hear what is being said without the use of a PA system. Also, there are no leaders, anyone can speak, and their words will then be repeated so that everyone can hear, and then decide if they agree or disagree with the speaker.

  • @sjinn13 they repeat everything because theyre unthinking drones for obama

  • I'm with you 100 percent. Being president does not exempt a person from the law. Ordering the death of an American citizen, regardless of the crime, without trial can't be ignored. Barry needs to face charges.

  • I think it's a little crass by MoveOn to raise money and take credit for a movement that started completely independent of them. We appreciate solidarity, not cooptation.

  • @thewolfpacktravels Let me guess, Move on isn't quite Marxist enough for you.

  • 4. Eliminate Fractional Reserve Banking - If a bank does not have the money they will not be allowed to loan it.

    5. Re-install Glass- Steagall - separating the function of Savings Banks from Investment Banking.

    6. Major Wall Street investment reform that outlaws Derivitives, Short Selling, Hedge Fund, and Algorithmic Trading.

    7. Redefine Federal limits back to the Constitution, giving most of it's present powers back to the States, back to pre- Feb. 17, 1871.

  • I'm on the pro freedom, pro liberty, end the wars, arrest the criminal bankers, arrest the corrupt politicians, follow the constitution and End The Fed, side.

  • And oh yes, bring in the horsies.

  • Two votes thumbs-down, I guess the Koch brothers were here..

  • we are NOT on obama's side

  • @oldtimefreedom Speak for yourself.

  • Stop voting Repubican or Tea Poeple and America will be better for it.

  • FY 2010 budgets: Peace Corps $400 million, Military $668 BILLION....The corporate controlled war-mongering government spends 1670 times more money on war than it spends on peace.

  • @peacewavenow Perfect, lets turn these protesters into a national civilian service. Marx would be proud at the destruction America.

  • If only move on wouldn't be asking for $5 donations claiming its for #ows actions/volunteers... It should be clearly labeled as sympathetic political action. This movement does not subject itself to the input of any political team. To support it, that must be done by individuals only, through donation and direct action support

  • Move on dot org is a bunch of thieves

  • @tcdahn7 They can talk about all the 'tea-baggers' they want, and connect it to Koch. But this OWS has big money and power behind it (Soros), and many others, primarily of Marxist ideology. I fear the clash of civilizations may be upon us.

You DO know it was big government and the Federal Reserve system that caused this economic collapse right? Yes big banks are bad also, but you're missing something very big.

Now I'm stuck in the middle watching the apocalyptic "battle of the 'isms".

    Thanks.

  • @truthnexus there is no "soros money" behind OWS or MoveOn. Where are you getting this stuff from? Read this:

  • @truthnexus There is no soros money behind the Occupy movement. Man are you stupid

  • We knew the politicians were bought and now we know the media and the police are also bought!

  • @karinmoveon MoveOn.org = Turncoats akin to Joe Liebermann

  • YEAH! LET'S HANG THE WALL STREET GUYS FROM LIGHT POSTS AND BEAT THEM WITH RAKES!

    ...too far?

  • We need localized economies, and not corporatized exploitative economies. Local agriculture, and massive reductions in fossil fuel carbon emissions. I strongly recommend the book EcoCities by Richard Register, an excellent and healthy vision of cities without automobile air and noise pollution. Richard Heinberg's PostCarbon . org site and books about the End of Growth point towards a huge need for localized agriculture as fossil fuels dwindle and the need to stop catastrophic climate disruption.

  • The military should be converted to environmental restoration, green jobs, solar and wind energy installers, passive solar architecture and construction, protect biodiversity, move people out of cold snowy areas to save energy. Catastrophic climate disruption is the most pressing issue that will be effecting the world for hundreds of years. ClimateProgress . org -- End the resource wars for fossil fuels that are killing the planet. CarFree . com - EcoCityBuilders . org - FreePublicTransit . org

  • Too bad the majority of them don't even know what the fuck they are protesting. There are very smart people who KNOW what they are talking about, but the majority of the people are fucking imbeciles who don't know a damn thing and just say America sucks and down with the rich. The intelligent people need to step up and outshine the fucking dumbass majority in this protest.

  • @skittlesareyum48 Polls indicate a majority of Americans agree with the protesters and think OWS is a good and positive idea. You're projecting your own ignorance onto those you disagree with.

You think it's wrong for someone to exercise their Constitutional rights? Seriously? Do you really hate freedom that much, or have you somehow convinced yourself that the Constitution only applies to those you agree with?

  • @eatmorenachos ... Why bother convincing that moron.. Seriously, they listen to A-holes like Rush & Hannity.. Conservative Tea Bagging swine is what they are and skittlesareyum48 is a puppet to them.. We know that this is the real Thing! Let us keep fighting the good fight =)

  • @eatmorenachos Let's talk about Constitutional rights. Private property rights. Do you think it’s wrong for the owners of Zuccotti park to insist OWS be cleared out for a least a few hours a day so the park can be cleaned or dare I say made available for anyone else in the public to enjoy, peacefully?

  • Comment removed

  • @skittlesareyum48 well, I know one "dumbass" displaying his or her ignorance, right here in these comments. You have every right to disagree with actual positions advanced by OWS folks; go for it, that is one of the great virtues of our country. But you only make yourself look stupid and disingenuous when you deign to define what the message is so its easier for you to mock and marginalize. That's called a straw man argument. Might make you feel good, but doesn't add to debate.

  • @hickmannon As I said, I don't disagree with the OWS movement at all, it's great actually. It's best impact is that it finally has the majority of people in our country doing SOMETHING about all the bullshit. What I was saying is that the seemingly majority of the people there are just pissed but don't really even know what they are pissed about. I just wish the intelligent ones who are protesting would overshadow the imbeciles, instead of the other way around, which is unfortunatley the case.

  • @skittlesareyum48 thanks for the explanation-gives me a better sense of your viewpoint. Of course I've seen plenty of real dopes w/ nonsensical, goofy messages; you are right, media focus on them just plays into a sneering elitist agenda (across the political spectrum) that mocks their grievances, marginalizes OWS as a bunch of "simpletons." That said, i've also heard some smart, articulate folks who know their stuff. And yes, they need to be much, more prominent. We'll see.

  • I feel like writing the words 99% on my forehead and walking around town (grocery shopping, etc.) and seeing how people would react. Or going to work like that! But I know my employer would just ask me to wipe it off! lol

  • id be very careful if i was the NYDP you keep assaulting the people the people gunna assault you back they are the 99%

  • Its about time we shed our plutocracy.

  • What if you are not on either side?

I am tired of lefty pansies wanting to give away everything to everyone (California Dream Act anyone?).

Not to be left out the right makes laws for and dictated by the largest of the large companies so they can make more money and the 1ish% will have even more.

Can't win. No one seems to be a real representative for the regular schmo.

  • @giff74 The way I interpreted it was "Are you on the side of the People, or the Government?" - Though it can very easily be taken just about any way, and I don't have the authority to say which way is the right way to see it, all I can do is offer my own view. I do agree that as far as political parties go, though, there is no REAL representative for the average person, which is the very valid complaint many people at the Occupy movements have.

  • WHO STARTED OCCUPY WALL STREET? WHO PLANNED IT? WHO IS PAYING FOR THE MARKETING FIRM, THE NEWSPAPERS, THE FLYERS? WHAT ROLE DID SEIU PLAY? WHO ARE STEPHEN LEARNER AND VAN JONES? WHAT IS THE CENTER FOR AMERICAN PROGRESS? WHO IS GEORGE SOROS? WHAT IS HIS RELATIONSHIP TO CAP? IS HE A CRONY CAPITALIST? DOES HE PAY HIS FAIR SHARE? IS HE GETTING RICH OFF THE CORRUPT SYSTEM OF WALL STREET SPECULATION? HOW DOES HE MAKE HIS MONEY? HE MADE $7 BILLION LAST YEAR THROUGH HIS HEDGE FUND AND INVESTMENTS.

  • @cmorrowk is a cut and paste troll

  • @monkieproblem you didn't answer the questions. And as usual, you leftists just resort to name calling when you can't answer the questions honestly. You have zero credibility.

  • @cmorrowk I am just calling a troll a troll, you posted the exact same comment in all caps (considered bad internet etiquette) on multiple videos. If you want to express your concerns make your way down to your local occupy and let your voice be heard. Occupy answers to no organization. SEIU/Americans for Progress have many of the same objectives but their modus operandi is local house parties to discuss politics not sit-in protests, they back occupy but occupy does not endorse them.

  • @cmorrowk NSA plant? Read any Russ Baker or Paul Craig Roberts, Dahr Jamal or Ellen Brown?

  • @cmorrowk Soros is not funding this movment. Give the liberal kingpin myth a rest. SIEU is not even involved.

  • What do we want? CHANGE! No more wars for money greed and power. Where are the weapons of mass destruction? Americans are tired of the 1% making choices for them selves and acting like it is for the 99%!

  • @briandjoyce

I'd say making a new campaign system in which the 1% can no longer bribe our politicians is a much needed goal.

  • @briandjoyce exactly
