All the annoying bits are only downs for the ups... If it makes feel sad, bad, good, happy, then IT WORKS!! This whole album is truly a masterpiece in that point of view imho.
When I first listened to the album, I was just hearing one amazing song after another. After a while, at the end of a song I'd said, "He can't possibly have another perfectly crafted, ass kicking song." Satch proved me wrong again and again, right to the very last song. Amazing.
this is the first song I heard when I got the album about 5 years ago...I picked to listen to this first only by reading its name..since then I'm a great fan of this GOD...and to my opinion, this masterpiece is one of the greatest songs in the history of electric guitar music
Man the Satch is absolutely one of the top 5 best of all time. Too bad critics still control what is considered '' real music''. HA!!!! like to see any of those assholes try to play with soul like Satch
@cthulu411 dude, you just said what i've been telling people for a long time. lol. It seems like music is either reeeeeeally bad nowadays, or not even music (*cough* rap *cough*)
@cthulu411 critics dont control music , its corporate fuckers that choose what this years flava will be and then the corporate songwriters write the songs for the likes of rihanna , lady gaga and madonna , the real suckers are the general public who buy into that shit.
I really love parts of songs, not so much the parts that go crazy and just seem to be an outlet of letting loose by the musician. Not that I don't like that too :) But the parts with actual rythem are the parts I love. That's what creates that lasting melody that rings in your head afterwards. By the way awesome song.
these tracks (from Satch's first 2 albums) are so good because they are so completely effective and powerful as SONGS, not just displays of instrumental virtuosity. bravo!
Nope, it's Alesis SR-16. Well, probably not back when he recorded it, but it's absolutely a drum machine with the possible exception of some of the up-tempo parts. The Alesis was what he had on his tech rider when he came through last year, though.
