I am on my 4th DroidX, not because I love them, but because they are such a crappy phone that I keep having to have them send me replacement phones. I would watch this video on my DroidX but it won't play a YouTube video for more than 10 seconds. Save yourself some frustration just get the iPhone 4 on Feb 10th if you are on Verizon, or get the Samsung Galaxy S phone. Locks up, freezes, whatever, it is a piece of crap.
@skittleschocolate you aren't too bright are you. Verizon doesn't fix any phone. They send them to Motorola and they repair their own phones and then send them back out. The reason Verizon give "like-new" phones is an arrangement with Motorola so Motorola doesn't have to deal with the public and Verizon can send you another phone immediately.

I love how most adverts fail to actually show you what the product does. It's just a bunch of shiny effects and buzzwords thrown about the place to make you THINK it does lots of wonderful things. At least Apple actually show their devices being used in a real situation and the product is the centre of attention, not the buzzwords and effects distracting you from it's failings.
@skittleschocolate Android is on more devices than iOS, more companies produce them and most companies that do make a dozen or so different models running it. It's like Windows, it's just software on generic hardware, software made to run on a broad range of set ups that rely on the hardware makers to produce drivers for it so things work properly. Apple makes the hardware and software so they know what each can and can't do so you get a more refined product. Few bother making both of their own.
Steve Jobs treats apple users particularly iphone users like school children. You are paying a premium price for a phone that doesn't run flash, any other web browser program to view websites and so on. They want you to do it THEIR WAY! BUT NOT YOUR WAY! You paid for it and you should be able to do anything with it! Android is an OPEN SOURCE! that means you can hack it and over run another OS if yo wish to! The Droid Incredible is probably the king of all smartphones in the market today!
@blackrabbit06 Blackberry's don't run Flash either, or Windows Phones. Android can, but it's generally at the expense of performance and battery life (quite severely too in terms of battery). There's actually a few browsers for the iPhone if you cared to look. Opera being one and SkyFire for example. Android isn't "open source", not the way you think of it. It's still controlled by licenses and Google has the power (and has used it) to delete things from your device if they don't like it.
and that's why android is growing and iphone is shrinking. apple begged verizon for a contract. and they okayed it. they don't plan on phasing droid out either. i went to the verizon store yesterday, and they have a full droid mural thing they just put in haha. there's like granite counters and steel walls. and there's a little 1'x2' poster in the back of the store that says "iphone 4 available february 10th" i lmaoed.

Android devices come out weekly, so the market doesn't seem to contract and expand as often like iOS does. iDevices have a release date more or less set in stone. You know when to at least expect them even if you don't have an exact date, so people wait if it's at or beyond the half way mark. Plus, 1 company vs several? I'd hope Android sells more.

@drummer728 I've heard a new iPhone 5 should come out sometime around January 2011. Also, the Droid isn't taking out the iPhone. The iPhone is as popular as ever. I guess it all depends on your tastes though. Personally, I like the design of Apple's iPhone the most. I love my iPhone.

Even if the iphone does see the end to the droid. That still doesn't make it better. It is just a simple fact that the droid x is a better device and android is much better than IOS.

Man, the iPhone has that beat. The iPhone has 200,000 apps compared to Droid's 70,000. That's not even a competition. They're are far more quality developers for the iPhone than the Droid X. When Apple's iPhone 5 comes out, it's going to blow away the Droid X.

@blicksflicks oh yes the iphone 5 might actually be able to multitask this time instead of sucking, it took apple 4 generations to come up with folders for their apps and what not, 4 GENERATIONS, Droid from the start had multitasking down, folders for orginization, everything like that and more, Apple is way behind and if they released an iphone 5 thats just adding insult to injury

by the time the iphone 5 comes out, google will be ready with something better i guarantee. Apple can't beat out google, motorola, samsung, htc and lg all together. Lets face it, DROID is the new badass line of phones for the new generation. Besides itll take apple another 2 years for another iphone, androids are coming off the lines like crazy

@drummer728 I've heard a new iPhone 5 should come out sometime around January 2011. Also, the Droid isn't taking out the iPhone. The iPhone is as popular as ever. I guess it all depends on your tastes though. Personally, I like the design of Apple's iPhone the most. I love my iPhone.

Like I said. They have the phones not because they are good but because they are popular. They could care less about how "good" the phone is, all they care about is how much the phone sells. They don't have the palm because its not as popular as it used to be (ok well yeah the palm kinda sucks). But also they are bringing the iphone to verizon simply because iphone fans are sick and tired of AT&T.

Even if the iphone does see the end to the droid. That still doesn't make it better. It is just a simple fact that the droid x is a better device and android is much better than IOS.
I'm not saying the iphone is horrible. It destroys ANY windows mobile phone, ANY symbian os phone, ANY blackberry, and destroys quite a few android phones. In fact I would most definitely pick the iPhone over A WHOLE SHIT TON of other devices.
Society may never accept it but iphone has met its match.

I ordered my Droid X 7/18/10. It should be here by 7/23/10. Yesterday I called to ckeck on it from Verizon and they said that it is being shipped and should be here before Saturday the 24th. Just remember that the phone does NOT come with the HDMI cable and the car charger. The cable is 24.99, charger is 29.99, and 3 glare protectors (which most people I think don't need) is 14.99. Order through Verizon and get 25% off for a total of 57.98. Sure can't wait, but was wondering how well you like it
