  • @soulrasta9 Not back, but breathing.

  • When I first bought this album I never cared for this song much. Then once I payed attention to the drums the whole way through. Its now my favorite song on the album.

  • Streetlight = greatest modern lyrics

  • @earachegraf them and Tool.

  • @earachegraf Streetlight = greatest lyrics

    Fix'd. =D

  • I'm not going to say this music is better then any other music.

I'm going to say that I LIKE this music better then most other music.

I don't refer to this type of music as "Ska" I simply call it "streetlight" because that is what it is, and that is what its trying to be.

I think I like this band not only for their music, but also because they make their own music and are not held back by any genres or anything.

They make this music the way they want to and they don't care about anything else.

  • How good was streetlights 1st cd like this album is its own genre

  • @imSKINnotFAT I am going to come out and say that I think Everything Goes Numb is just slightly better than Somewhere in the Between. I am also probably going to piss a lot of people off and say I think Point/Counterpoint is the weakest song on the Album.

I think the latter opinion is due to the fact that I didn't know about Catch 22 before Streetlight and the first Streetlight song I heard was We Will Fall Together.

  • one thing i like about a lot of streetlight manifesto is the "hey don't fucking kill yourself" message. it's a good message.

  • @sirstanlee yes be very proud!

  • seven synchronized tapdancing mimes would impress me less than this band. and seeing seven tapdancing mimes would be fucking awsome!

  • @sheepblitzer i want a pet mime thtd b fukn awesome.

  • SKA IS DEAD

    it's good music

    BUT IT"S DEAD

  • @bryton909 I hate your attitude.

  • @bryton909 So by your logic all forms of music other then pop are dead cus I don’t know were it is your from but I no just as many people who like this as who like metal and about the same amount of people who like punk rock if ur some kid from the burbs then ya it prob is dead but mosta the boys back home love this stuff and r always blasting it or playing the songs

  • @voodoosnakebite

  • @Ar2Dawg why is kind of has the features of ska and would be classified as ska-punk(if not alturnative) but i would say if its ska its ska on crack like what giraffemoo said

  • @Ar2Dawg i hate when people dont call this ska :p

  • @Ar2Dawg it is ska your a retard if you think there not

  • I don't usually like Ska music (except for sublime but they're not that ska...) but Streetlight is frickin boss

  • 3:15 i wish it wasn't... nobody listens to it anymore :((

  • true dat man

  • SKA BREAKDOWN

  • the intro is beast

  • MAN! I kick myself for not hearing this band sooner!!

    *OW!!*((lol!))

  • don't feel bad...I hadn't ever heard of them until I went to the Reel Big Fish/SLM/Tip the Van concert in Nashville. I didn't know any of their songs, but I'll be damned if I didn't walk out of that concert with a new favorite group. RBF should have opened for them.

  • they r mos def better thn RBF

  • I like 'em better, too, but I also have to say that they are really two different types of music, so it's not really a fair comparison.

  • @iaminside1 extra points for using mos def in a sentence :D

  • dude streetlight is ska on steriods

  • as an aside, I had Aaron from RBF sign my boob. Yes, I'm a guy, yes, I was hammered, and yes, I had told my wife before the concert that, if I saw him, I was going to do it. I'm...proud?

  • @sirstanlee is it weird that im jelous of this?

  • SKA'S NOT DEAD!

  • HELL YEAH!!!!

  • @soulrasta9

    DAMN STRAIGHT

  • @soulrasta9 but it's thinning, SPREAD THE WORD OF SKA!

  • @soulrasta9 *Sigh* I can see you're trying to be courageous, but yes sadly it is dead. No matter what we do today will ever bring it back, but what people sing, play, and dance. It's all tribute to something that was once great, even though it is gone, we honor its memory every day of our lives, for we believe in truly for what it stands for.

  • @6352Ninjas Skas not dead until we reach our death beds listening to it. :)

  • @Kanturk4eva Zombie ska my friend.

  • @6352Ninjas

Just you wait, man. someday, just someday, Ska will be back. Ska will be revived. There will be a Ska Revolution. Trust me. It's the way things go. Musical era's come and go, and they come around again. Ska will be back in some form or another.

  • @6352Ninjas actually its not dead, I know of two ska bands that have formed in the past year, plus more and more people are getting into it, I got into it about two years ago and now it seems like everyone I know listens to it.

  • that was the songwriters influence though

  • ♥

  • Your username is win :P

  • Hah, so true.

  • ♥

  • alt plus 3 ♥

  • what is alt plus 3???

  • Press it. [:

  • nothing happen i see??? hehe pleas tell me whats then?

  • Oh, well, it's supposed to make a heart. ;] ♥ Some keyboards don't do it. ]:

  • diz iz da shit

    xD streetlight rox!

  • go kill yourself retard this isnt rap

  • NO REALLY

  • why the fuck did you say that then jackass

  • what do you have against rap? theyre both valid forms of music, and the fact that that ska vocals and rap are similar shouldn't really be so bothersome

  • I was responding to someone, and rap isnt music. Old rap was good, but now its all gone to shit. And Ska and rap are nothing alike

  • ska breakdown = so sick

  • love it.

  • this song is f'kn awesome!

    SKA FTW!

  • hahahahah this is sick i can't believe this song has a breakdown

  • this is intense

  • wtf

  • mkay i'll take your advice

  • oh fuck yeah they are releasing an album on sep. this year

    I'm fuckin glad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • ska really isn't for me, but streetlight mad caddies and reel big fish are good... thats about it, catch22 sucks glad they said fuck that and made streetlight

  • i love how it sounds!

  • BEST SONG I HAVE HEARRD

  • idk why u little kids hate on rap so much...i grew up on catch 22 and streetlight...i've seen streetlight live more time then i can count and just because i listen to wu tang and eminem doesn't mean i forget wat i lived for....

  • rap is all lyrics. and lately it hasnt been good

  • rap isn't just about lyrics buddy, but I must agree, MOST recent rap is not so good, but there are of course exceptions

  • cuz rap has moved from its roots and isn't meaningful anymore. that's why

  • not all 'rap'.. it's a very broad genre.. like underground hip hop like sage francis.. very politically based

  • best song ever

  • cirerebot quit being a dick and get them urself

  • I swear, Streetlight has already started the fourth wave of ska.

  • i so totally agree if you watch the history of ska or something the guy was like is ska dead. i said no streetlight started the fourth wave

  • nooo streetlight didnt start a wave. i used to think so. the 4th wave exists and has existed forever. its called skacore. check out sekta core, la resistencia and crack rock steady music. that music has a wave bc there r tons of bands that do the same style. streetlight is a sound of their own not a style of music. they cannot start a wave bc there is no band that can make music like this. try. u will fail. its impossible. its not ska, its streetlight. there is ska influenced but dnt get crazy..

  • bombing the music industry!

  • If you're trying to name the band, it's Bomb! The Music Industry.

    They're awesome though.

    I ♥ Ska!

  • there ska-awesome! =® who did u do the hart? i know u pressed alt but whats the # ?

  • alt + 3 (use the 3 on the num pad though...not the one above the letters. {make sure you have num lock ON})

  • true, but crack rock steady is like a sub genre of skacore in my opinion. but fucking intense i love it

  • who says ska is dead?

    whoever says that should die.

  • your opinion doesnt matter

  • wow you have way too much time on your hands dude. you should spend more time on things you like, than those things you dont like. you are the dense one

  • omfg! we should do something before ska does die off! why does everybody like Rap n stuff? oh yay, you can swear in every sentence. so exciting. ska pawns because... well that's self explanatory.

  • thumbs down for saying pawns. but i agree XD

  • I couldn't find any other words...

  • ska ska ska rules haters!!!!!!!!

  • WAAAAAAAAAAA I LOVE THIS SONG <<<<<333333333

LOVE SKAAA :D FROM MEXICO :3 WITH LOVE :3

    Penny*

  • ska is not dead

  • we all ska fans need to join and TELL THE IDIOTS that skas not dead

  • SKA'S NOT DEAD !!!

    yeah

  • HELL YEA ITS NOT

  • Music, and if you don't like it, don't listen/watch it. Thanks =)

  • If I don't listen or watch it, how am I supposed to know I won't like it?

    hurrrdurrr

  • Get a life idiot.

  • Yes, I can see how "skafag" is a much better insult tahn "idiot".

Let it go, some people like ska, I don't see why you have to go in and insult them for it, simply leaving it at the fact that you don't like it should be enough.

  • your a fucking faggot just let us listen to our music without it being insulted go listen to your own shitty music this stuff is amazing whether you like it or not

  • Actually, ska has been around longer than rock or most other shit and has been one of the most inflentual genres of music (reggae came from ska) so to say something with roots like ska, with soul like ska, shows that you know nothing about the genre.

  • how did ska come before reggae?

  • ska started in jamaica long ago (not sure of the exact date), and from ska came rocksteady which become reggae. the ska that you mostly hear now (like in streetlight) is way different from the first wave ska from jamaica because this is third wave ska.

look up the video "a brief history of ska" on youtube. it's cool beans

  • cool will do

  • Bob marley played ska when he was 15 or 17 cant remember, way before reggae was around and an interview with family man *bob marleys bassist* also said that ska was the sound of jamaica till reggae fianly came round. Hope that answers your question

  • dude the ppl dissin on ska is pissing me off we ska peeps need too join together and MAKE THEM BELEIVE SKAS AMAZING!

  • @Bodyboardin77 Everyone is entitled to their opinion. This music is more of an acquired taste, anyway. I love it. But don't just diss anyone who doesn't.

  • omg i love this band! so awesome. so fast paced. all ska music is great :D

  • All i can say is atleast they are not sellouts. Streetlight Manifesto is what music should be.

"Now a days the songs on the radio, they all drive me crazy..." Bradley Nowell

  • Bradley Nowell was the lead singer of Sublime dude. That quote is just from one of his songs. I don't see how I contradicted myself either. I just like how streetlight plays there music for their own reasons, not to make $.

Anything else you want to bug me about?

  • who the fuck is bradley nowell??? LMAO! uh yeah bradley nowell, jesse michaels and neville staple were who these guys were beating off to when they were in high school. if i were a history teacher i'd give you a big sign that says 'dumbfuck'

  • I know your saying who is Bradley to try and make a point(a stupid one) ,but allot of people do know who he is especially if its comments on a ska song, but why are you asking who he is even after he answered

if you really want to know who he is type it in Wikipedia (do you really need to go into such great lengths to insult him?)

you'd be a crap teacher anyway(calling students names and saying things like lmao)

  • i'm not asking who he is idiot i'm being sarcastic. read it again. think harder.

  • I love streetlight, and catch 22. Thanks for the upload =] I think that I like their new album better than "everything goes numb" haha, but they all have great songs =]

  • When I first heard these guys I was kind of shocked. Not many Ska bands get this heavy and serious but it actually rules. These guys are one of my all-time favorite Ska bands. I bought the album cause the chick on the cover looked sexay and had never heard of them before and since then I have never seen them on tv or anywhere else. I think they deserve more recognition.

  • Streetlight definitely does deserve more recognition. I mean look at 'em, they've gotten their van broken into several times, and they're not big enough to be able to easily replace their equipment. They're a great band, and I really do wish that more people have heard of them. They're lyrics have so much meaning, and most of them seem to tell a story. Their music is great and they sound awesome. Thank you for your time, I love this band and ska =]

    ~Kayothic

  • The lyrics are quite sad...but all songs makes me happy. Kind of odd.....BUT Streetlight rules!:D

  • teehee im seeing them live 2m night in Ft. Lauderdale =DD

  • Good song, great band.

  • they couldnt be anymore like catch 22 if they tried but i still dig it

  • Well no shit, both bands were started by Kalnoky
