Yes, some tools (and other products) are almost designed to break after somewhat moderate use. Whenever I bought a backpack for school, I noticed little notches cut on the inside straps, exactly where it needed to be the strongest. From these experiences, I've learned to reinforce everything , especially various tools. A welder comes in really handy now and then! : )
