It is best to dry the facing down in a cup because if you lay them on there side water will still stay in the barrow and cause your brushes to start coming a loose. Put a paper towel in a glass and it would be a good idea to use makeup brush covers which you can buy cheap on Ebay for a roll for like 99 cent. Put your brushes in them to dry upside down and this will keep the shape of your brushes while they are drying upside down in a cup, just thought I would give you that tip for your next vid.

Wow, is it really ok to rinse the brushes in just ~2 seconds? Just wondering, cause I always rinse my brushes until I get as little shampoo bubbles as possible coming out. I heard you were supposed to rinse until you stopped seeing bubbles, but that seems impossible, at least with the shampoo I'm using (is Tresemme ok, btw?). All that rinsing seems damaging to the brushes, though. IDK... does anyone know?

I was told by the mac people to clean my brushes with the mac cleaner but I was worried that I would break out in hives so I would rinse it off after using the mac cleanser, but washing them with baby soap will solve my problem! :D I finally know how to clean my brushes properly! :)

i do the same hand cleaning method but change the shampoo every time. although for the natural bristle brushes i follow with nexxus conditioner that i let sit for a few minutes then rinse :)

what you do is what she said with the spot cleaning was good but the deep cleansing was incorrect you do the same steps but you change the shampoo with every brush. would you wash your hair with dirty shampoo? same concept. then condtion each brush for about ten mins then rince them out and let them dry.

use a dot of shampoo mix with water on your hand mesh into your brushes all at one time. Rinse in flowing warm water from tap until runs clear. Then to remove all oils final rinse with alcohol. With many bleach your brushes but will not harm them. Reform them and allow to dry with handle pointed down in an empty jar over night.

I run the water warm ( low..for all the "green" people) and use this same method but I just use plain old softsoap and pump a bit of soap in my palm and gently clean against my palm, press all the excess water and reshape with your fingers and put them on a kleenx and in about 2 hours they are dry and ready to go.
