Actually no. I believe the shot is the same one that they tried giving to Keiichi in a pervious world where he was going insane. The same shot Satoko recieves to surpress herself from going to Level 5. The only reason Rika killed herself is because she had lived that world over so many times and knew what was ahead. So instead of being tortured, she commited suicide.
