i dont think digital camera are dangerous. there are fine as long it does not interfer the radio the pilot is using per communication purpose. some airlines now offer inflight wifi service. depend on which airlines u used.
Actually my cellphones airplane mode turned off during my flight and you don't have any bars up in the air so there isn't really a risk in opening your electronic devices (You won't be able to use it)

not its not...its been done millions of times. it IS dangerous to use cell phones during flights (cruising altitude). thats dangerous
