This is from the first Elvis movie I ever saw, "Jailhouse Rock". The year was 1957 and I was 8 years old. Was Elvis the most sexy and handsome SOB to ever grace this planet or what?!
Elvis wasn't gay far from it he is and will always be the king in everything we want in a superstar .always loved Elvis since I was a kid wanted to be him and still do God Bless Elvis.tk
@fangurl20 No Elvis wasn't gay, but he was the ultimate androgynous male and that's why everyone liked him. The men and the women. I can't count the men who have said he was beautiful...not handsome, beautiful. They always feel they have to say first..I'm heterosexual, but, man that guy is pretty! He was just this gorgeous, charismatic, sweet, talented, sexy man.
I got Elvis's '50's box set when it came out. This was the first song i played.I've been listening to this song since it came out. It's my favorite Elvis song. Thanks for posting it.
LOL... NO! He was gorgeous, but the furthest thing from any Ricky Martin, if that's what you're thinking. Your friend certainly would've been stoned in the 1950's by all the Elvis fangirls for even thinking such a thing.
This is on the flipside of Jail House rock. I had given me as a kid, and i couldnt stop playing it.Well done for putting it on you tube, you have bought back many happy memories.
Elvis actually played bass on this. Bill Black is shown here with his stand up acoustic, but the track has electric bass which Elvis played in the studio with the rest of the band, then added his vocal track after, which he did very rarely especially in the 50s.
Jesus is the only hope of salvation from the guilt of sin. He is God come in the flesh. And he came to wash away our sins with his blood that he shed on the cross. Salvation is a free gift, but you must repent and ask Jesus to save you from your sins and come into your heart. God is good. It is written, "The just shall live by his faith."
@4tt1 , sure, read the insertion. =) "Baby I Dont Care" is a song from Elvis' third movie "Jailhouse Rock", re-released 2007 in remastered widescreen, black&white and mono on Warner Home DVD/Blu Ray.
Jailhouse Rock is my favorite Elvis movie. If you look closely, Scotty Moore, the guitar player, wears sun glasses on the wide angle shots, but on the close-ups he isn't wearing the sun glasses.
sounds like this track had Elvis's voice in one channel & the instruments on the other ... it seems that the instruments were put on both channels (in a "duophonic" sorta way) & Elvis's voice was put in the center (in a "mono" sorta way). I did this with Nancy Sinatra's "How Does That Grab You" album ... a recent CD re-release has the album in stereo, but her voice is in one channel & the instruments are everywhere else ... it drove me bonkers on headphones.
great video.. i was waiting for this. a lot of people don't know that elvis did play base.i am waiting for you to do a stereo mix on baby what do want me to do. the stand up version. my understanding is that the album was cut in stereo. correct me if i am wrong. Great Job !!!
Hello, the stand up version from BWYWMTD is only mono. If it is true that all live parts - expect "playback"-live parts with pre-instrumental records - recorded in mono. And Baby what you want me was direct live recorded. There are no Stereo version is possible.
Lol, yes. ;-) Exactly the mix is not original: It is a binaural 2-track-tape. Elvis left, instruments right. Thats original. To hear on "Elvis-Close Up". But you can create a new version. i centered elvis' voice, the instruments i distributed to both channels. Because it was only one channel I could'nt make a "real" stereo. So my MIX is not original in this sense. But every stereo track is mixed. It is therefore ligitim, never before so mixed . But i change not the RECORDING itself.
The voice, the instruments, all is original. Except the discussed remix and the remastering: reduce crackle, reduce noise, make a bit more brilliance with the reflexion: How it sounded in the studio? Thats the directory. Sound is always a matter of taste. I might have to boost the bass, yes, but I'm not sure if it would have been right. I can very good understand your opinion ;-)
great sound and video.... did you know that in the studio elvis played the base on this song.... a lot of people don't realize he played drums, guitar,piano,base,keyboard... and he was good at all of them...
Yes, you're right, Elvis played the base on this song. But only in this song in this session. On this day, four more songs were recorded. From Baby I Dont Care were recorded 16 instrumental takes, for all Elvis played the bass. Elvis' voice was added later. On this day, with four takes, and again on 8 May with six takes. Both times was used the last take, there are therefore two different versions.
Go to 1:05. You can see that the guys in the band are wearing sunglasses. If you watch the rest they are not wearing sunglasses!

@fangurl20 Having read one or two Elvis bios, I'd say no, he wasn't. The pelvis-shaking was for the girls.
