See the line of CPAP pillows from Contour Living for real solutions to comfort and support when using CPAP therapy. The CPAPmax pillow is $60 and has features not found in other pillows at any price.
sleep apnea connot be treated with a pillow. Unless you shove it in your throat to keep the tissues from collapsing. There's a reason no sleep doctor would Rx one. How pathetic for someone to try and take advantage of people with a medical condition. You make me sick.
Contour also makes an anti-snore pillow which works really well for people who sleep on their side. There is an inflatable center which pevents you from from sleeping on the back of your head. WORKS GREAT!!
anyone who wants to know more about sleep disorders may also find the book "Sleep Disorders for Dummies" useful. it explains how to improve your sleep habits, manage stress, find relief from your symptoms etc
The pillow does make snoring stop. Look , the pillow has a slot for your arm right underneath, the foam cut out that is left over ,is to be sucked on.
speel apnea masks and other devices can cost up to $500, so stop looking at it as a $100 pillow, and instead a cheaper alternative to a $500 apparatus... thought the pillow wouldn't be 100% effective like the medical devices are proven to be. :P
@JuberLOL My CPAP machine cost $1800, the mask another $150 and the sleep study to confirm the apnea over 2 grand, so $500 as you say is really cheap!
@NYVideoGuy Eh, that's what a quick Google turned up for 3rd party machines, probably total shit, I'm sure yours actually works.
Also I'm Canadian so health care got me covered there, I couldn't say for sure how much it would cost me personally (beside taxes which I don't count).
@JuberLOL Oh, I understand, yeah they probably do make cheaper models. I looked into this tongue suction gadget I seen on another video and it appears with a doctors prescription it is covered by insurance in the USA. That was surprising, so I will ask doctor about his opinion of that on my next appointment. It sounds like a pretty simple concept. Anyway, I had bought a contour CPAP pillow recently and that seems to help along with the machine and it was around $50 so not bad.
@nutyhermit Actually for those with sleep apnea if a $100 pillow would cure it, they'd be extremely lucky. It usually takes a visit to a sleep doctor, then a sleep study costing around 2 grand and then a cpap machine costing around $1800 so you can finally sleep correctly at night, not to mention a couple of hundred dollars for the mask replacement every few months.
