@baconbits225 for singing and acting u always have to be loud. my drama teacher taught me to imagine that the microphone is broken and that the audience can't hear me (just don't go so loud that u might actually break the microphone :p) and most importantly, do ur best, practice ur lines every day or when u have free time, and have fun w/ it :) im sure that u'll be AMAZING break a leg ;)

i went and saw this in Aurora Gravity Defied Theatre last night and i have to say that that version was better. if u ever have a chance GO!!!! its amazing music, chareography, characters, and actors! <3 i had an awesome time and when we had a talk back session we got to meet the actors and see what they thought. over all it was an AMAZING MUSICAL

i love this Cat in the hat...and Horton. i think its kind of akward that horton has to keep turning because of the shape of the theatre...its not natural. i'm not downing the theatre (its an amazing theatre and i love that they can seat so many people) but its just not natural to have to keep turning when you are suppose to be relaxing.

Seussical costumes are supposed to be imiginative. A lot of directors don't grasp this.

It does say in the libretto that the simpler the costumes the easier it is for people to understand. I personally would like the costumes, but that is in the directors notes :-/

Kind of, you see there are three plots going on, 1: Horton Saviving the clover(horton is main).  2: jojo controling his "thinks" (Jojo is main). 3: Gertrude trying to impress horton (Gertrude is main). and the Cati in the Hat narrates it all.
