@123rcac IF it makes you feel any better Dire Striats is not in also, but Madonna is.... if you need anymore proof that the RnR HOF I can give you more.
@shumirules1 It just surprises me. His music has been everywhere and I just was, well, kind of shocked. And this concert in particular shows up so many places to show how many people en masse really appreciated the music and the musicians. I just kind of don't get it...
@what1111000 I can't think of a more vapid and downright oxymoronic concept than a "Rock and Roll Hall of Fame"; isn't the whole point of rock supposed to be irreverence? The term "Classic Rock" comes in at a close second.
@snuffelsuf i agree! but some of it has to do with the fact that he puts out some not so great studio versions of his great songs. he's one of the great songwriters of all time, just some of his studio stuff kinda sucks.
I saw Warren at the U of A Gallagher Theater in the 80s. All there was on stage was a piano and a harmonica. Warren came out and said there was no band because it had been forced on him by his label and he was going to do his songs the way they were meant to be. Many people left, but I stayed and it was different, but excellent nonetheless.
I WAS AT THIS SHOW!!! WAS ONE OF OVER 50 SHOWS I HAD THE GREAT PLEASURE OF SEEING THE "GREATEST" SONG WRITER PERFORM...NOT A DAY GOES BY THAT I DON'T THINK OF WZ!!!
Warren was a great talent. Musicianship influenced by classical training. A man who could compose both ballads, and dark shadowed songs, with a sense of humor at the same time. Warren should be posthumously voted in The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. He was certainly not appreciated except for a select following for his talent and genius.
i have those moments in life where life is so tragic and terrible and yet hilarious at the same time, and i look to the sky and know that warren is laughing at me
Its a damn shame that we have all he had to give us.

Phenomenal guitar playing by John Wood. Warren was by far, my favorite artist. No one will take his place.

Yes often great. Bu the namedropping, mentioned in his bio is quite unbearable. And he did it constantly!

@peterzang Could we drop a name on you? Say like "Sixteen Tons"?

@kurtizzyflush I know more about Zevon, saw him earlier and stayed with him longer than you. But he was a shameless namedropper.

@peterzang Right . Time for your nap as soon as you can pull your nose out of the ass of people you've never known or let alone met.
