  • No GAGA? :(

  • From Bill Pinckney,to Clyde McPhatter,to Ben E.King,to Charlie Thomas,to Rudy Lewis,to Johnny Moore, this group had the best lead singers of any group that has ever performed.Thank you so much for posting this,I could almost hear Clyde singin.

  • @Davids508 we could hear Clyde as well.

Simply put we so enjoyed this show.

    Excellent Talent.

  • I remember hearing this in my teens. WOW so many years ago.

  • @MegaDianal

    for us all LOL

  • "Love" Bobby! Clyde was great, so is Bobby. He looks and sounds great on the PBS Doo Wop series!!!

  • thank you for the response, we just WISH they would come back and perform somewhere near us.

Bobby Hendricks found the *fountain of youth* he looks and sounds GREAT!

  • This is really FUN and the guy does pretty darn good...but, NO ONE can even come close to the unique voice of Clyde McPhatter!

  • Clyde McPhatter was GREAT, I so agree.

This group of men were the best, no one can doubt that.

    Bobby Hendricks made it happen.

    Thanks for the response.

  • Superb!!!!!!!!!!!

  • we think so too!

Hope to see them again, if they ever come back this way!

    Thanks for the response..........

  • thanks for your reply, its just a matter of taste and we love this version and the Drifters!

  • Pretty fair replication of Clyde's vocals. I'm glad they're keeping the sound alive. I'd pay to see these cats.

  • 'MAGICO' is clueless. These guys were among the originators of rock'n'roll. Their original version of this song featuring Clyde McPhatter lead vocals is a all time R&B classic.Elvis just rocked it up more, thats all.

  • Bobby ( Itchy,Twitchy Feeling)Hendrix. Pretty close to Clyde McPhatter.

  • We thought he was excellent

    Thanks for posting!

  • the drifters were still one of the greatest in history.

  • I so agree

    Thanks for posting

  • Elvis version is practically another song, it is amazing Elvis ability to reinvent songs. His version is pure rock as compared to this formal version.

  • where was this video taped?

  • October 28, 2006 at The Madrid Theate

    Canoga Park California

  • I first heard the music of the Drifters in the movie the Sandlot, since then I've been a fan. Thanks for posting this clip.

  • A few hours ago, The Drifters, Peter Lamarr, Rohan Turney, Patrick Alan and Victor Bynoe of pop band The Drifters were said to be lucky to be alive after being involved in a serious night-time car crash in England. One member has head injuries.

Please pray for a swift recovery for these men.
