i got these in my car and they hit every note really good for their PRICE i have it hook up running on a brutus mono 2000 watt amp but no not running the full amperage lol jus 75% if these go in a suv they will sound like 15 trust me they are imperessive.
@mikeluong18 Nice!! Yes they sure are! Yeah I had a second thought of re purchasing them if they ever go back to the sale price, but I have a smaller set up right now so I'll have to see. Haha yeah I'd definitely like to hear them in a car! Thanks!
@MusicWithDABASS I can't really give you a exact answer on that, but when I tested it the Polk's gave much cleaner bass and better lows within close distance and far distance of course louder. The Kicker Comps seem to hit harder when standing upfront with it but the lows aren't as great as the Polk's like I mentioned. I'm not sure how to say that the Kicker's doesn't have clean bass as I'm not sure how to say it. Can't say which ones are louder but that's all I've got. Sorry if it didn't help.

I've heard these pound close or harder than some competitors around the same price, but then at some times it would sound less decent. I have to say though the single one of these was the loudest of everyone except the MTX Jackhammers which were duals, but to me Polk Audio doesn't distort as much as others when turned up to the limit, but that's just me.
THESE OUT POUND KICKER ANYDAY had kickers and these polks put them to shame the only other subs that come close are infinity reference 12s with these new cars make sure you measure twice they can be quite heavy and bigger then most enclosures I ONLY PAID $80.00 Canadian from a friend they retail 599.99 cdn could probably get them down to 299.99 which i did for this friend when he bought them

I paid $150 US at Fry's Brand New, but I had sold them in about 3 weeks or so since they were a little bit large and I had other plans. I had just saw the single one go on sale for $100 but I didn't grab it and now I suppose they don't sell them anymore. I might get those Infinities to match my system.
these polks are very nice subwoofers. i have 2 of them in my car. they are alot louder than people would think. and the videos on youtube just dont give them the justice they deserve. mine sounded different in a video than in person. thanks for posting

Yep most people do tend to judge sounds on Youtube a lot but most don't understand that these regular mics just can't record all that bass or clarity, and they say it's bad even when they haven't heard it in person yet. I actually just sold mine since somethings came up and now I don't have too much in mind except replacing the head unit, but I guess we'll have to see.
Hello again. Just got the subwoofer. I'm using a Rockford Fosgate Prime amplifier at 1000 W peak. The gain is adjusted at 50% and the Punch Level Controller at 15% and the sub hit really hard. Can't put it on max yet, because of the break-in period. You should mention it on the video about the break in. About 30 hours should do. Greetings, Dinner
