aside from the finger movement of 1:11 this was awesome. I think it would be 100% perfect is just a hair faster. not as fast as Ning Feng's version but just a tiiiiny smidge faster.
No words!!! I'm completely ecstatic! this piece is amazing! Paganini, thanks for writing these fantastic pieces and thanks to all those amazing violinist who make it possible for us to hear them again!! In this case, thanks Salvatore!! Thanks!!
In answer to your question a couple months back asking what you said, this is what you said. "pagadini is AMAZING!!! this guy came to our school today and played some f his pieces,it was so cool. he somehow made the violin sound like bagpipes!"
First it doesn't sound like bagpipes...
Second this man has been dead around 400 years so unless you own a time machine he didn't go to your school.
I very much enjoyed this recording of the Duet for one violin. Though I am sure he could sightread this piece, I find that one thing Mr. Accardo could do better is his intonation on the shifts. I could sightread this piece too, but without the beautiful tone of Salvatore Accardo.
My great grandmother wrote a book on our family history and she wrote that her great great grandfather performed with Paganini once. I thought this was really cool, so I wanted to look up some of his music. So far...I like. :)
He had Ehler's Danlos and Arachnodactyly (long spider fingers.)
My boys have this condition as well.. I can tell you from experience with my boys- there is NO way this music is easy to play with normal fingers. My son can bend his fingers all the way backwards, can move and flex his fingertips, and can spread his fingers so wide.. Paganini's music is absolutely beautiful. <3
Paganini had a condition that let his fingesrs strech a lot and a lot of other problems that helped him play the violin he could play in 3rd position without shiftifing
This piece helps prove, even without a recording to back it, that Paganini was the best violinist and still is quite likely to hold the title. To come up with some compositions is amazing. I can just picture that a piece like this is just something he whipped up one afternoon, leisurely spitting it out. I don't think there will ever be a rival against his title.
His fingers were not long. He was a small man, but the condition he had allowed abnormal stretching. "he wrote music to show that off basicaly"... wow. Really? Please go study some of his music and think about your own comment...
paganini looks stoned in his portrait.

Paganini knew secrets of technics, which came to him after long hours of playing and playing..
And of course, as a composer he had a great sense of form, he is as Mozart but more technical difficult in the performance..
