@Teamjacob600 Thanks mate, You could add aluminium powder or magnesium powder to make it brighter with a white flash but other than that not really. If you want more colours then you need to make the compositions yourself. Lots of things can be added to blackpowder or small variations of the chemicals to create many colours, if you want more info pm me :) Also I wouldn't try mixing this up otherwise you could lose your eyebrows ;)

You realise this is a highly friction sensitive mix? Saftey matches work because of phosphorus and potassium chlorate only need to rub together with little pressure to ignite/deflagrate.

You are moving it around with metal pliars? Not a smart move- You have it in the paper already, just diaper it. Be safe and research the chemicals you are using before messing around with them! Especially if it's homemade non pure chems you are using. Never mix this comp in large quantities for the same reasons.

@theguywith1face Yes thanks for the advice, but I do only mix small quantities. I make quite a lot of pyro mixes and I do use the diaper method for flash powder or a container on the end of a stick, but in this instance the mix needed to be crushed to burn quicker.

@jermujorma Hi mate, It will not work very well but it may still work, you can buy non safety matches (strike anywhere) from most DIY stores, I'm sure tesco's sell swan vesta "the original" which are also strike anywhere they have sand on the side of the box.

ive used 120 matches and 6 sides of striker powder and put it tightly in a plastic tube and pluged in up with a fuse and some super glue, it also has 3 layers of tight electric tape, i havent lit it off because i dont know if it is safe, please respond and tell me if this is safe.

@magistic345 Can you run fast! Actually after flash powder this all seems a bit crap! So you should be okay, as long as there is no chance of it making dangerous shrapnel (metal, glass etc...) Use about 15 seconds of use and you will have more than enough time to get away :)

By the way guys if you get a 2-3 inch bolt stick about 5 nuts on for weight then get the banger tape it on the end and make a tale for the other end out of kitchen roll or a cloth, lob it in the air and when it lands the thing blows up :).
