After this LP, the band signed with Clive Davis as Capricorn Records went belly up. No more Tom Dowd and no more good bluesy instrumentals. The subsequent albums were so bad they aren't even in print anymore. Redemption came with Seven Turns in 1990.
Thank you so much for posting this. I haven't heard this in a long time. I have all of there albums & cds but need to take the time to convert these old albums. :-)
Hello there guys, I've been trying to upload more tracks of The Allman Brothers Band but I seem to have some technical trouble =( I'll try my best and please send me your favorites, I have all of their discs on my possesion.
I have it on LP also. Need to put this on a CD. One of my favorite Allman Brothers albums also. Geuss I have to buy one of those albims to cd machines.
Of all the ABB's instrumental songs, this one always seems to get overlooked & I can't understand why - b/c thisis right on par w/their early '70s jams. They definitely ended the decade on a high note w/this album - very enlightening indeed!!!
For anyone who cares, Enlightened Rogues is an early name that Duane gave to his band long before they hit the big time. This whole album is great - & it's been a treat having this in my collection.
The first and greatest southern rock band. Pegasus just another one of their great instrumentals. Thanks for posting. See if you can post one of their "lost" instrumentals, High Falls.

Man, every time I listen carefully to any given Allman Brothers jam, I immediately get this strong feeling to jump off my chair and just fly away!

Many thanks for posting this...I had forgotten about it -- the feeling of the song comes back quickly -- like greeting an old friend...

In my opinion. "Enlightened Rogues" is as good an ABB album as "Idewild South"
and."Eat a Peach".But by 1979,with the resurgence of Hard Rock(i.e Van Halen)
along with bands like The Cars and The Pretenders, not suprised why it was so
quickly dismissed.

thanx for this, they wouldn't let upload anything from this album in the shitty U.S.A cause of copyright laws.

@RKIRCHDO Yeah, High Falls (studio version) is one of the best ever. Great intro, great ending, and everything else in between.

This album was one of the first in my collection. I was very young and my mom bought it for me.

I still love that song after all these years.
