@ioxxd90 IFor a long time I thought it sounded too much like a faux broadway tune. But ... I've recently been won over and it's been rocketing up my personal fave list. From the almost country opening to the way it seems to bop along carried by its own infectiousness.
Another thing I like is that the backing vocals are both more developed than usual and much more audiblle than usual. My favorite Supremes tracks have a give and take between the lead and backing vocals and this has that.
I think that looks like the Reflections album, from where the needle was placed on Side One.. ;) I love the vinyl album cut sound of this favorite Supremes song of mine.
The late Florence Ballard was in the Supremes. She sang a couple of leads before the desicion that Diana Ross would take sole lead vocals. May Flo rest in peace. According to some, she was thrown out because of her behavior. However as Jdoesmith said, this was not a solo project from Diana Ross.
LOVE THIS SONG

I only posted this because it was a request. I do not like this song at all.....Sounds too poppy for me.

This song was the official choice for the American Banstand dance contest in 1968 The Adantes are doing the backup vocals. Not Mary or Cindy

Great song by Diana, Mary and Flo (NOT The Andantes).

I have no idea who Flow is and what group she was thrown out of. Most people are thrown out of groups because of drunken behavior and jealousy.
