The BMW's V10 produces 500bhp, the Audi's V8 only produces 414bhp. It's obvious the Beemer was going to win, but the Audi didn't lose by much. But, Audi V8 = 20mpg, BMW V10 = 12mpg and you don't get much more performance for that extra fuel and power.
@SwiftHDX this is only your opinion. i think bmw cars look better than audi. i hate audi's girlish design. most of them look like christmas-tree. and bmw has aggressive sporty design. look at e46 vs same year a4 (e46 is clearly better looking), look at e39 facelift and a6 facelift same year (bmw is clearly better looking), look at e92 m3 and look at same year audi rs4 (bmw is clearly better looking), audi only has rs5 as better looking car than bmw opponent. nothing more :)

Look at the models today, they are stunning (except the A5, I don't think the front lights go with it), compare them with modern Beemers (1 series, 3 series, 5 series, 7 series, X1, X5, X6) and you will clearly see that the Audi's are MUCH better looking with their single grilles, LED's, lights, and epic lines. BMW can't even got close to designs like that. e.g. look at the 7 series and compare it to the A8.

you guys are retarded. I only hear one V8 and one V10... meaning the R8 is a V8 and isn't even considered "fast" compared to what we see on the road now. The V10 R8 isa different story but the V8 can't even trap 112mph on a regular basis meaning its about as fast as the new Mustang 5.0, E92 M3, SRT8 charger/300c, etc. They look nice, they look fast, but you'd be supprised how slow they are. Everytime you see a C6 corvette on the road, that's faster than any car most of you will ever own.

alright....if you cant tell the difference from a v8 or a v10 engine sound....you shouldn't be arguing about which car is faster. Obviously it sounds like a v8 or at least the camera quality makes it sound like a v8 for the Audi. The m5 is a better choice whether the r8 is a v8 or v10 just because the Audi is SUPER HEAVY or at least an Audi are known to feel heavy where as the m5 has a little weight but doesn't show it......just my 2 cents

@donciak bmw m5 goes faster than I think its the ferrari f430 because disable the bmw m5's limiter it will reach 204mph and the new m5 f10 has 560 bhp so will be even more faster!! bmw were born for this, audi are still not bad cars but I'd have a m5 over an r8 anyday, and in my opinion if u can carry 5 people + luggage in the bmw and it is not as wide and i think its a much more better car too.
