@pirahna1 LOL, feel better now? I never knew there was a single way to play with a synth. Maybe since it's called "mini brute" we wanted to see how raw and nasty it could get. Thanks for the comment anyway lol.
definitely a cool and refreshing product, especially coming from arturia, but this isn't exactly new sonic territory. almost any synth with an external audio input can have the output signal split and sent back into its input for this kind of analog feedback madness.
@shayeasy I don't think the feedback circuit was trying to claim "new sonic territory" it's still useful. I have similar on a bunch of other synths, doesn't make it useless though, as each synth will sound different when using such a feature. I'm more excited about the fact that it's a full analog synth, with tons of knobs and sliders, for a very affordable price.
@mattsynth I'm glad they did something different, kept it all about the sound creation, you store patches in the old way, by taking pictures or writing them down. I think it's a nice deviation from everything else. Though I wish they made a module only version, as I don't really need another keyboard...but'll I'll compromise for this one.
@SoundsAndGear On stage I have no time to look at photos or charts. That is like stepping back to the Moog model D days. What a nightmare that was. This is 2012 not 1971. Even in the studio patch storage is a must today. Time is money. Maybe they will come out with a MiniBrute MKII some day with patch storage and at least a 4 octive keyboard.
@mattsynth I hear ya, but there's other options, at least you know going in that it has no patch storage. I dig it actually, I wouldn't get it for something I wanted to quickly browse presets on though.
@SoundsAndGear Plus 1 on the module only version, that would have slaughtered the minitaur, as is it just killed it. With out the keys they probably could have gotten the price down to around the mopho price and cleaned the market out. I might just wait and see if they bring the module version out.
@SoundsAndGear Totally with you on this one, it is super cute, but if it was 3 octaves, it would be even better, but a desktop version for £349 GBP would be wonderful, I was going going to buy the Minitaur until I heard this....
@mutantmoments exactly man, that's exactly how I felt. I'll still get it, but wish it was a module, with all the knobs and sliders still. That would be very nice :)
@mattsynth It's analogue... and it's called "Mini". So I suspect there'll be a "Big Brute" if this sells well. There they could perhaps implement patchstorage and a seq and a bigger kb. But as it is, it's awesome, and I'll get one for sure!
@READYdot I purchased a Origin last year and it had so many bugs and bad encoders that I had to return it for a refund. Two years in production and the Origin was still buggy. Arturia customer support is not even there so USA buyer beware. There instrument ideas are wonderful but there quality and support is not up to par.
I'm sorry, but this was a terrible demo. It's like you've no idea how to approach a synthesizer.

* yawn * I have a Novation that makes every sound I heard there; and practically every other synth around can do what I heard.

@Johnnysynth I have a novation too, sounds nothing like this.

Very cool but I still wish Arturia would of charged more and included patch storage, a sequencer and a bigger more useful keyboard.
