this is rubbish im a brickie and this goes against the simple factors that make a finished wall strong might be ok for garden walls but would be no strengh in in a big structure there are a few simple factors that make a wall strong when you ferreor the motor and the perp joints and lay the brick this compresses the motor causing suction and strengh with these brick mates there is no compression or suction to the motor there for leaving you with a weak wall imo should just leave it t experianced
Not for the pro. Good for the DIY`er for nothing else than it would keep the brickwork clean, which is often what makes the wall look rubbish. I think if anyone was contemplating building an extension they would need a lot more information than i bet the instructions would provide.
We could solve the housing shortage with this tool. I suggest every man and woman be given one for free by the government and go out and build houses, loads of them.
This is for Novices or Amateurs NOT Professionals and if it makes the job easier for them then its a good investment.
Obviously a Pro would not use this BUT its NOT being Marketed for them.
This is NOT going to put any Pro Bricky out of work there will always be a work on Housing estates,Commercial estates and for more intricate Bricklaying there is NO reason ANY Pro Bricky should feel threatned by this Tool.
@CheckMySix why should they be threatened yeah it looks quick but in the time youve layed a couple bricks a bricky has done a couple and is having a cup of tea all this si really going to do is loose brickys small jobs like small garden walls and such but those are usually small paouts anyway and more than likeley for a garden wall they may want something more intricate so yeah this aint gonna hurt the industry this is just the same as the paint roller not putting decorators out of buisness
@DLPBurke except for that's a computer code...not a 'computer' what about programming that code, and then putting it in a way which makes it processable, and the initial idea in the first place.....and you argue thats simple...dumbass
@jackthexplorer Did you see what else I wrote you daft asshole? I understand his point, he wasnt being literal to every single circumstance. It is a general rule. Like you being a toss pot.
To all the simple-minded cunts who are chiding this invention -- IT'S NOT FOR PROFESSIONALS, it's for amateurs and beginners. I built the base for my conservatory using this tool, when it would have cost me a shit-load more hiring my local, thieving, thick-as-pig-shit, neanderthal bricklayer to do it. To the inventor of this tool, I salute you. You've freed the average Joe from having to have any contact whatsoever from the fucking retards that inhabit the bricklaying profession. Full marks!
@ariiiiigold call me a retard mate, and i'll put my trowel through your skull. i hope the pathetic little conservatory falls down on you and leaves you disabled, not dead. i want you to be a burden on your inbred family so that they hate you more and more every time they have to wipe your slack arsehole for you. fuck off.
@putrefactionchamber I AM calling you a retard, you stupid, insipid fuck. Let me guess... left school with no GCSEs? Spend Friday night drinking Stella and then go home to beat your wife? Offspring look like fucking rats? You're an internet hard man, nothing more. You're the classic brick layer, I hope the next recession renders you homeless, you useless sack of shit.
Designed by a chippy I like it and would buy it if i wanted to have a bash at brick work i think it would help me lots and defiantly less mess no brainer well done mate.
You still need spirit levels and line - otherwise walls develop an arch - but it's useful
'Frogs' - I suppose you fill before laying
My brother used this - built a whole engineering brick garage - the corners do require time (in fact I think he used another giant metal gizmo for the corners)
Brick's are made with an indentation or "frog" which is filled with mortar to provide lateral (sideway and forwards and backwards) strength to the bond. Simply laying a brick on top of a layer of smoother mortar will not provide this strength. A simple shove to a "Bricky" built wall will therefore promptly produce a pile of rubble within seconds. A bit dangerous to give the impression that this "innovation" could produce anything that was structurally sound.
@david300871 By the way, just because something is done a certain way does not mean that way is the fastest, or most efficient. Look at the layout of the QWERTY keyboard. That was designed to SLOW DOWN typists, because mechanical typewriters could not cope with their typing so fast. For whatever reason the design carried over to computer keyboards, which would not have had the same problem. So don't assume that everything in modern days is better or more efficient. It might not be.
@rkent06 Because I don't have the funds for such a thing. It is a common sense device though, I'm surprised that builders didn't even think this up in the first place... What the hell were you using in the first place?
@MisterAlexUk We use our skill and experience and the proper tools of the trade. We train for years to do this, and get short shrift from people who think we are thick talentless individuals. Without us, where you all gonna live? Caves or cardboard boxes?

One guy reckons he could do it better than a "Professional Bricklayer" using that contraption. Har Har.
What do you do if you want full flush joint for pointing or bar jointing?
Why is it you never see a punter/customer having a go?
It is OK for a DIYer to build a barbecue or planter up to about 2'6" high.
If any of you are thinking of of buying one let me know. I'll come and watch and camcord Ya. I reckon that would be funny!
