  • Just Gorgeous!!!!!!!

  • San Francisco's gain is the Met's loss. Nina Stemme's interpretation of Brunnhilde is amazing, vulnerable and volcanic. Westbroeck's not going to be here for the rest of the cycle. For those of us who saw her play Sieglinde, we promise not to be smug, only profoundly grateful.

  • Hmmm, valkyries as 1930s style(?) aviators....interesting...

  • Sing it girls--brava.

  • NINA RULES!!!

  • We need a DVD of this--Nina is damn wonderful!

  • Stemme and Westbroeck on the same stage - what more can we wish for? <3 Ok, maybe for Christian Franz. :D

  • @Sieglinde84 we can only hope the MET will remove Deborah Voight and bring on Nina who can actually sing

  • It's a shame San Francisco Opera as one of the biggest opera houses in the US hasn't done much in terms of putting their operas to DVD. They cast some amazing singers and have such stylish sets. I saw their Tannhauser and it blew me away.

  • @norcalrobbie2 San Francisco Opera brilliant though it is suffers from budgetary constraints. Marketing and selling DVDs costs money.

  • I wish they would sell a dvd of this production too, Molnic. I can't get enough of it; a lot of people would buy it and raise more money for the opera,

  • I too wish for a DVD--Nina is awesome!

  • This is an unbelievable Walküre that San Francisco Opera is currently producing. Nina Stemme is unreal.

I wish wish wish that they would make a dvd of this.

  • Excellent!
