  • @RantingRamsay

I find that a semi-automatic fire arm is more dependable than automatic simply because there is more of a likely hood of the gun jamming.

  • @Jaymay91794 unless you want to talk about the masterwork made by Kalashnikov. *chuckle* You can literally pull that thing out of the mud and fire off a clip.

  • what's that thing moving next to u? a dog?

  • @Elfavzla It's one of my cats. My 16lb beast of a tomcat to be more specific.

  • Thank you very much for this rant Ramsay!

  • @RantingRamsay

What do you consider a powerful weapon? Do judge by size, type, or calaber?

  • @Jaymay91794 I guess it really depends. There isn't really one sole qualifier, even though I made it sound that way in the video. Fully automatic fire seems unnecessary for the general public, as do some of the larger caliber weapons in my opinion. But I don't think anyone can lay a blanket definition on what constitutes a powerful weapon, myself included.

  • great rant but LOOK OUT BEHIND YOU!!!

  • i really dont think its a good idea to give poeple sniper rifles.. ex militairy or not if one crazy person gets one he can kill alot of poeple without even getting caught. and the chance of an invasion is really small for america. the only other countrys that could even properly invade america can also just nuke you and i think that is much more likeley to happen ..

  • No worries, I hope you didn't think I was being patronising, cos I have and had simiar problems with the camera I got for Christmas. Just gotta say cos so many people seem to have an issue with add's on videos (not me) I love the fact that you reinvested it into your channel I think that shows so much appreciation for those of us who watch you!

  • Used sales from person to person who aren't dealers is what I have a problem with. I've purchased weapons from a dealer and like that they do a background check but if I wanted I could walk into a gun show and purchase say a handgun unchecked. Say if I killed someone with the gun and I tossed the gun. Well that gun is going to track back to the original owner and not me. Also buying fully automatic weapons requires certain permits attained through money, classes, or both.

  • First of all, nice camera, better quality than your old one, second, I am not well versed in the numrication of our BOR but I do know of them(only ones I know by heart are the first and fifth, the first being blown way out of proportion and the fifth is just a cop out), and third, I agree with you, there should be leveled competency exams for owning firearms, nicely done

  • Your voice just got sexier...

    Yum...

  • Great topic, I didn't believe in owning fire arms in my country but my opinion may be shaped by the fact that I grew up in a country where half the Police force isn't armed and it seems to work. That being said I have no problem the 2nd amendment as long as people understand why originally it was brought in and many people seem to over look it. There should def be a competency test dependent on the fire arm you want to own though! type yt:crop=16:9 in your Tags it'll fill the screen! ;0)

  • @lawnboyspost1975 Thanks for the temporary fix on the aspect ratio. But, apparently, it seems like I need to do some work with my editing/rendering software to work out all the kinks in the production process.

Admittedly, I didn't spend much time playing around with the settings, as I was just anxious to see the final result. Perhaps a bit more patience on my part, next time.

  • A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed. That pretty much says citizens have the right to keep, and bear arms to protect themselves from the Militia aka the military. If the military has full auto we should too granted competency yes. However most people who want to get a full auto machine gun will fire it at a target range as often as they can. Good video by the way.

  • I personally don't disagree with the 2nd amendment but I can definitely see why the UK won't pass such a right.

And I say that because of the sheer amount of immigrants we have over here.

  • Love your vids you, undertakerfreak, thearch, and cammeh keep up the good work. Not many good youtubers left.

  • What I need to hear from those who support unlimited access to guns is this: “We, the gun supporters understand that 40,000 plus Americans die each year in gun related incidents, and many times that many are seriously injured. We understand that crazy people who should be in mental hospitals own guns and we are ok with that too. And we feel that no matter the cost in dollars and suffering is caused by guns, no matter the humane tragedy, WE THINK IT IS STILL WORTH IT AND WE DON’T CARE”.

  • ramsay when is your birthday because i need to get you a camera with more than 2 frames an hour

  • You really ruined the aspect ratio of the whole video just so you could put that picture at the end? Good video though.

  • @MasterTheMike No, actually. I didn't spend much time getting into the details of the new camera I just purchased, and realize that there are some rendering changes that need to be made in the editing software. I'm no expert at digital video, nor have I ever claimed to be.

  • I have to say I completely agree with you on this ramsay, I have essentially said the same thing while discussing this with friends. unrelated question where did you get that hoodie?

  • You're suggesting rifle caliber should be wholly determinate on one's skill and knowledge? That would suggest that a firearms enthusiast would be required to adhere to competency exams in such primitive weapons like a Black Powder, or Musket rifle. I'm not suggesting that that is what you meant. I'm simply pointing out that the second amendment may be slightly more complex than most people are led to believe. The Founders were smart guys, smarter than most credit them to have been.

  • @kookiemoose I don't think the caliber alone should be the sole determinate, no. As I mentioned in the video, I understand that "all firearms are lethal" in the right/wrong hands.

  • i agree with on the exam in order to purchase firearms and imo for high power rifles like 308s 50 cals and full autos like ar15s aks and such they should do a back round check for criminal history but thats just my opinion

  • @bassplayer2011ify they do require a background check if you buy from a dealer, however if a private citizen sells it to another private citizen its up to the private citizen if they want a background check from the purchaser. Most responsible private citizens who do sell a pistol of rifle most times know the person who is buying it.

  • @rsa1027 You just described "Bill Goodman's Gun and Knife Show" which comes to southwest Ohio quite often...*chuckle*

  • @RantingRamsay the really funny part is I have not heard of that lol

  • As to the video quality...thats what I get for leaving the computer in the last minute and a half to do something X D

I like the base idea, and there are some similar ideas in Canada, though not quite the rigorousness. For instance, you got to have special licenses for certain firearms and a degree of competence must be showed. It would needed tweaking but the idea, which you proposed in a previous video for 5 minutes or so, is valid.

  • Hey there Ramsey, good topic.

However with the new camera, it's nice that it's now being shot wideangle but you still rendered it in 4:3. So instead of it taking up the screen, it is still leaving the unused black spaces down the sides and then letterboxing it as well. Not sure what you use to edit your videos but it could be as simple as changing one option. Keep up the good work you hack ;)

  • @mynamesaretakenwtf yeah, I'm still figuring out Tue ins-and-outs of the new equipment and how to het an overall better quality.

  • Video format seems rather odd...a lot sharper than usual, and the coloration looks very different.

Canada's gun control laws are, unless I'm mistaken, a lot stricter than American laws. Fully auto weapons and semi auto weapons that can be converted to fully auto is illegal for the average citizen to own. Certain regulations must be met under firearms as well...I would like to have a WW2 firearm collection, but it isn't really feasible.

  • Yea, Red Dawn is awesome!

  • This may be a tad strange but, although the idea of certain exams for certain firearms is a neat one, I wonder if maybe a psychological evaluation should be required before being able to buy enough fire power to commit mass murder. Just throwing the thought out there,

    Have a good one

  • @wathever1993 actually not a bad thought at all.

  • Guess you got a new webcam.
