If youre new to rifles..get to reading, cause there's a touch more involved to landing shots sent from over 600yrds than just the scope. I'm sure you know that much though. Goodluck'
Is this scope not waterproof, snow, extreme weather proof? Looking for a scope for a Tactical Rifle .308 that will land shots at 1000yrds. I was looking at the Leupold brand, but couldnt tell if I was getting my money's worth with Leupold Vari-X III 4.5-14x40mm at double this scopes cost Leapers Accushot 6-24x56 SWAT Rifle Scope, Illuminated Mil-Dot Reticle, 1/8 MOA, 30mm Tube. I'm new to rifles, but I want the best scope under $1000
im looking into buying the leapers 6-24x50 "varmit" scope or my 30.06...im poor does anyone one know the comparison from this swat version to the cheaper varmit version?
Hello friend I wonder if she did not deregulate easy, 'cause I saw it on Ebay and give this to my wanting to nitro rifle CBC 1300 x 1300-feet would she guenta the lock will not be reset every hour or she is good, which you recommend for me, help me please
What is customer support good for when yur. Scope is fogged at 6 am trying to kill you'r buck!? Anyone own one with issues? Nitro filled means nothing if it leaks it out .
Bought this for a .22 and fell in love with it. I ended up replacing my Zeiss on my .308 with this and it holds zero just fine and the optics are crystal clear. I don't feel like spending $1000 just for waterproofing.People will feel a need to justify spending a grand on a scope by putting down another quality product. For value vs. cost you won't find a better scope. Also leapers has awesome customer support.
Alright guys, I currently have a leapers accushot swat series 8x32 mounted on a remington 700 in .300 mag. I have had no problems out of this scope and its the 5th scope i mounted on this gun in the two years ive had the gun. It does just about everything any other advertised scope on the market does, and its a great investment for any application shooting wize. Any questions just message me or we'll talk on the page and let everyone interrupt us.
@makun16 Man its actually doing very well, my rifle fell off the back of my car before shooting and i was still able to hit a 20 gauge shotshell hull at about 120 yards. I've put well over 400 rounds through that scope and the only thing i have had to replace is the battery for illumination.
it feels a bit cheap. my AO up front is pretty stiff and hard to turn, but the windage/elevation turret clicks are nice. if they're made to withstand spring piston pellet guns... i think they'd surely be strong enough for firearms. there are many YT videos of centerpoint/utg optics on firearms. My 4x16-50 is rugged enough and cheap enough to put on just about anything.
leapers are made for firearms, cheap enough to put on serious airsoft, and strong enough for spring air rifle recoil. and swat stands for side wheel adjustable turret... meant for quick parallax adjustment.
Pick up a Accushot 1.5-6x44 .More than plenty of power for my Savage Mk. 2. Can drop a Squirrel at 50 yds. Also a true sniper scope will have side focus; don't want to give your position away trying to reach the front of a bell adjustable scope.
this scope is rediculous, a SWAT sniper is only going to be shotting 40yds across the street and he has a 24 power scope wtf? you need a Leupold M4 if your serious about shooting.
@Oxstayne wow son, you shouldn't comment on something you don't know shit about. a riflescope with SWAT is a scope that has a Side Wheel Adjustable Turret. and leupold is NOT a good company. especially when you say "serious about shooting" if you are serious about shooting, there is nothing but Swarovski or Zeiss, other less know companies that are very good are meopta and such, but leupold is shit, a scope should cost as much or more than the gun it will be mounted on.
@Otacon237 Leapers is a solid comany, they are low priced because they manufacture in China and don't go with waterproofing and such features. They have very high quality optics, and you shouldn't critisize unless you've used one, wich you obviously havent. These were not originally intended for firarms, more for pellet guns. Leapers is a fine company. By the way what scope do you shoot? because "FYI" I would rather have a leapers for my RWS than a leupold.
Yeah, they also don't use high quality glass or parallax-free their scopes either. I used a NcStar scope, and several other cheap UTG products, they're all the same crap. Probably produced by the same slave-labour force in China.
I think you're the one that haven't used one, because if you put one on a pellet gun it wouldn't last a week. Look up "double snap recoil".
@Otacon237 thats because you buy the cheap crap. I have a Leapers 4-16-56 30mm tubes. sot $160 and It's lasted 4 years, with at least 10,000 pellets through a high-recoil RWS yearly. And the clearness is perfect, i could read size 12 font 65 yards away at 7x (i tested). It's just stupid to me, that this generation buys a $20 scope and then complains it broke in a week, then they all seem to continue buying cheap shit, versus investing a reasonibable amout of dough in a more quality product.
If it's made for a pellet gun, it won't work on a real gun, or vice versa, because the recoil is different.
I was using a FAL clone. A .308 battle rifle, not a pellet gun. After about 100 rounds the mount fell apart. To be fair the scope is intact but it won't hold a zero anymore because of the mount. And it cost $120, not much less than yours.
Lesson learned: Buy from a reputable brand, not the PRC. A good scope will run at least $300 bucks but it's worth it if it lasts.
@Otacon237 i hear with the price man. But when it comes to pellet guns, the only company that produces optics over $300 is leupold, i i sure as hell hate them, everything i;ve had from them was NOT up to par. The only reason i went with leapers for my pellet gun was because it was the only brand that seemed decent, i went with their most expensive non-ilimunated scope (not counting the higher magnification model). and pellet gun optics do acomidate firearm's recoil. Continued>>>
@SabinoPointer Pellet gun otics can be used on firearms, but firearm optics cannot be used for pellet guns. by the way, i would never spend under $1000 for a scope to be mounted on a quality arm.
True, I guess that makes sense. I've never mounted any optics on pellet guns that didn't already come with the gun itself, so I wouldn't know too much about that. I think Leupold actually has a "cheapy" line of scopes that are made in China, but the rest should be good to go.
To be fair, I'm sure the Leapers would be great for plinking on small-caliber guns, but I wouldn't call them "battle-worthy".
@Otacon237 oh for sure, leapers that i've seen arent even waterproof. Leupold only makes 2 models of scopes for pellet guns and they are priced at $300 and $1000 something. Leapers is a solid company provided you don't go for the cheapest products and stick to the simply optics.

@makun16 The longest shot within my ability was prolly 500 yards at a torso sized steel target. Hit all 7 shots then it got boring.

FYI, Leapers are on the low end of optics. If you're just plinking or bench shooting they work fine, but it's not a "batlle-worthy" sight.
