  • I learned the fox trot dance to this song

  • I can't believe she'd throw away her career with porno shots! So disappointing.

  • It's crazy to think that this is Madison on Secret Life :o

  • Happy 22nd Birthday Renee!

Official Renee Olstead Fan Club at reneeolstead.info/

  • Hey, count me in ... this was great ... thank you.

  • she has such an amazing voice!!!i cant believe it!

  • she was 14 when i first heard her sing. thats not normal.. cause she's bloody fantastic..

  • Great and wonderful to a young singer who wants to continue the tradition of great jazz standards and does it well. June Christy will be so proud!

  • @grenadian11

    Totally!...I fully agree. Wonderful.

  • Happy 21st Birthday Renee!

  • I was just getting ready to talk about Norah Jones she was right there with Norah Jones on the Billboard charts Renee's album came in #7. I just wish she would be much more popular than this

  • I agree with shhhottt today's society is not appreciative to this kind of stuff. I am only in my 20's and its ashamed that jazz is not as popular like back in the day. This music made sense

  • Saw down the way that she was referred to as the "Next Norah Jones". Folks, Norah Jones is playing "catch up" to this little gal in singing power!

  • WOW!! I've never heard of her until today, she's amazing!!!

  • The best thing about this wonderful singer, is that she is introducing songs from the great American Song book to her generation!

  • shes freaking hot, and she gives me chills with her sweet voice,,,

  • I love her voice et I would like going to her concert...so meanwile anybody can give me her video concert ? thanks..

  • i really love her voice, i wish more people would appreciate this kind of music

  • @shhhottt

    count me in!!!!

  • no you don't know much about music, don't you?

  • um....no... no it isnt.

  • wasnt she in still standin

  • she is great, great sexy voice cords...i heard she would like of done a duet with sinatra.....i just hope she just dosen't

just fade away...that would be a waste

of great talent...please rene keeping doing what you do best..the sky is the limit i beleive you could fly...

    much love....eduardo..

and rene i had the pleasure of hearing the rat pack... i used to work at the sands

    hotel from 1959 -1961.......

  • She'll sound better with this genre when eventually grows into her fullest voice.

But then, her technique goes really well now. I just hope she'd put more soul into it.

  • hey ellasongstress.... fuck off

  • Listen to her sing "Is you is is you are my baby" She sounds alot like Janis Joplin. Compare her to anyone, I just love the whole package. Great voice, beautiful, and enthusiastic about her singing.

  • The best voice of our lifetime!

  • Hopefully, Renee will continue to improve with time. She clearly has talent, I'll grant you. And the girl has PRESENCE, confidence, sexiness and all those things which define that "it" quality! Granted, David Foster can put just about anyone on the map if he decides to do it and he did with her. I think he definitely is excited by young talent, esp in a pretty package(witness Katherine McPhee who I also think sings nice but not noteworthy). He did well by Josh Groban though!

  • The most talented female vocalist of our time? Good lord! She is clearly very talented for a girl her age but her tonal quality leaves much to be desired. Listen to the greats like Ella, Billy, Peggy Lee, and the list goes on,:absolutely no comparison. It's like when everyone was drooling over Charlotte Church-yes, amazing for a young one but NOTHING compared to the likes of Kiri Te Kanawa and even at the height of her popularity, she still needed much vocal training and development.

  • Really, she is who she is...

The MOST talented female vocalist of our time!

  • She's NOT the next Norah Jones...she's the next JANE MONHEIT...if you guys really know jazz, you'd know her voice is more comparable to Jane Monheit's voice. Norah Jones voice is not even in the same genre. Research Jane Monheit when you can and you'll see what I mean and the BIG difference.

  • LOL She's actually the next Renee Olstead!

  • Jane Monheit is the voice and the face OF AN ANGEL. God, I love her :-)

  • AWESOME !

  • I love her voice!! Beautiful! And the show she is on, Still standing, is hilarious!

  • I love that show

  • Next Norah Jones

  • To be completely honest I was blown away when I originally heard of this young starlet. To hear of a girl, when at her young age, made an album of old jazz hits was unheard of. She did an excellent, no, superb job at remaking all those hits on her self-titled album. I listen to it quite often. Love hearing those words as sung by her. Can't wait for her new album to come out.

  • Couldn't agree with your well-stated comments more. I just discovered her a few minutes ago from someone on Judy Garland's Over the Rainbow clip, and have ordered her cd. Thanks for posting Miss Olmstead.

  • From a young woman to a very good singer -much success

  • Renee Your a real good Singer Love you and this song!!!! Best wishes

  • gorgeous... didn't she cover midnight at the oasis on the two ronnies sketchbook a couple of years ago?

  • i am an old soul, my older brothers in world war 2 would of loved you. thanks for the great tunes

  • Renee you are the best, realy cool :))

I wish you everything beautiful and good :)

  • After the Britneys and the Ashlees, she really restores your faith in young women. Apparently they CAN sing.

  • i know all her songs by heart! i sing this one every day but on her cd its wayy diffrent! she needs to stick with one way to sing it lol i get to confused!! but i love her voice

  • No! She must not stick with one way to sing it! Because that's jazz and in jazz you're suposed to improvise and not to do the same things over and over again. She's doing it great! And by the way, those songs are not hers, those are jazz standarts and some others are from the great american songbook.

  • :_ _)

  • Check out Pennies From Heaven sung with Chris Botti. Rene is dekivering her chops and watch what happens. Such refreshing talent.

  • i luuurrrrv this song

  • Enormous talent, when she's mature she's gonna be beautiful.

Should work more on her improvisation.

    Adz.

  • she's got a great voice!! n her songs are so touching!! Man.....she's the best jazz singer in this world!! IN MY OPINION!!

  • I love her voice...

  • No depth to her voice. Very shallow.

  • I adore this girl. The CD never gets old.

  • yes renee and jane monheit are stars with a great career ahead of them. but do check out their predecessors. karrin allyson and tierney sutton

  • See Lindsay? Paris? Brittany? That's how you sing. Such a shame that talent like this goes unseen (unheard).

  • Rene's phrasing is so hip and she has incredible rhythmic sophistication .I hope people take her seriously. She ain't just some cute kid trying to sing jazz. Every time I hear her I know I'm witnessing greatness on a similar level to Ella,Sarah,Dinah-of course she's different tho.

  • She has such mature phrasing for one so young.
