I am so glad that Jesus came down and saved us. He didn't have to save us but he did Thanks You God. Also I read somewhere that there was only two thing holding Jesus on that cross his love for us and his love for his father.

Christ died for us, before our births, before we even knew of the name Jesus. While we were still dead to our sin, He died for us. In full knowledge that we would still sin after accepting Christ, He died for us.

That's why God's grace is so unbelievable. We are guilty before a just and holy God, but by His grace, God's grace alone, we can boast in the cross, which has established Jesus Christ as our Savior, the propitiation for our sins.

The only thing we can do is glorify Him.

In the Old Testament, the Israelite's sacrificed and made offerings to be forgiven from sins.

Now! Since Jesus has died for our sins, all we have to do is ask God in our lives and believe that Jesus died for us and we can unite with God forever.

All God ask in return is to obey his commands that benefit you in the future.

We cannot do anything to repay for what Jesus Christ has done for me and for us. Jesus died on the cross for our sins and rose again. All we can do is praise and obey Jesus. I have had personal experiences with God in ways that are seen in movies such as losing my wedding ring, not finding it in the ring box I had placed it in. Then I heard a noise but didn't pay much attention to it and mind you, this was several months after I had lost the ring. To make a long story short, I just happened to look in the box again after I heard this noise again, and wouldn't you know, THERE was my wedding ring! I had asked my wife did she put it there and she said NO!

You're at a great start because you are seeking. "But from there you will seek the Lord your God and you will find Him if you seek Him with all your heart and with all your soul." Deuteronomy 4:43. Spend time in His word and in prayer and He will definitely reveal Himself to you. Simply going to church isn't going to bring Him back into your life, you need to open yourself up to Him. Or possibly you need a different church?

What lovexxa is right! But you should also go in with the intention of learning more about God. People today make the mistake to compare God to other religions and really, that's where the trouble begins. It's also true that today, we have the media portraying christians as loonatics or some crazy cult. This is just their way of condemning what is good in every one of us and they CAN'T understand either because of lack of faith or knowledge.

I think going to church is a great shot in the arm. Try to go and listen to the message, to the words of the songs, look around and make a friend see if anyone needs any help. Sometimes reaching out to others helps YOU. If you pay attention God is there in your heart all the time. He will never leave you..ever. I will pray for you. :-)

A good church is one that reaches beyond it's walls so find a church like that. It will definitely help you.
