this has always been my fave p.i.l track. hopefully one day the demos will be released. i'd love to hear what type of vocals were added onto 'socialist'
Jah Wobble has just finished a new album Psychic Life with Julie Campbell (alias Lonelady), which is due out in November. It also sees Wobble reunited with ex-PiL guitarist Keith Levene for the first time since Metal Box. Check out the new Facebook page.
Do you have Metal Box demos. They DO exist cos i used to have them on a crusty tape 30 years ago. this song had vocals possibly by Wobble /Alt mix of Death Disco & 3 smart mixes of Wobbles Beat the Drum of the Betrayal album
@kingofpunk1977 kingofpunk1977 i dont have it, i always been looking forward to hear or get that demos but i cant find them anywhere,if you find them send me a private message to upload the demos to my channel.

@ rigornz1- Jah Wobble is indeed John Wardle, latterly of Chorlton-Cum-Hardy in Manchester. Dan MacArthur was a very brief alias.
@ markusa - my memory may well be fading in my old age, but it sounds a lot like Socialist to me? :?
