I like both versions. 2 versions give different feelings. I think MJ's beat & voice sound more "active", but Khalil's jazz version is cool too, I actually like his low voice and the bass~He does show respect to MJ coz he made a good cover of the song~

Actually, his singing style is inspired by Michael Jackson. He said it himself that MJ was his idol growing up, so it makes sense that mj's singing style inspired him. His singing style is nothing new but to the asian market, it is.

That doesn't mean you can't have a decent cover and enjoy it. This is an awesome tribute to MJ that doesn't disrespect the original and has its own style to it.
