  • i think hunt hit that sex, alcohol, nicotine balance where if you stop 2 or more of those thing's your body shuts down

  • wow, i thought they got strung out quickly today!

  • GREAT RACE!!!

  • So was James Hunt already dead by this time?

  • @r0n12 Yes, he died barely 48 hours after the Canadian Grand Prix that year.

  • @ClassicF1Vids1 didnt he die of a heart attack/cardiac arrest?

  • @L33TH3R34P3R Apparently he did; I have also heard that this happened only hours after he proposed marriage to his then girlfriend.

  • @ClassicF1Vids1 just looked up on a website it said he overcame alcohol and tobacco addictions and he started to get happiness in his life.

i think in the end it was his new lifestyle that inevitably killed him

  • @L33TH3R34P3R Hunt died because he stopped drinking and smoking and tried to compensate by shagging himself to death......

  • Thanks a lot for this but how about posting the qualifying for it?

  • Ayrton Senna do Brasil!!!

  • For 2 last races ,ford gave the same engine to mclaren ,benneton had it since the begining of the season, imagine Senna whith this more powerfull engine during all 93 season = champion.

  • @ericjoy54 That's the great thing about alternative universes, we can use them to support our favourite drivers. Imagine if Prost was giving 100% all season and worked more on his starts....championship over by August.

  • @ericjoy54 Maybe, but I'm not sure. Remember that Benetton used Ford-supplied electronics while McLaren used TAG-supplied electronics. It took most of the season for McLaren to get the TAG electronics to work 100% correctly with the Ford engine.

McLaren definitely had the same spec Ford engine as Benetton at Spa - but were still about 1 sec/lap slower than Schumacher.

  • @altroval Likely had something to do with the traction control bennetton was using.

  • @altroval you are estimating that only because Senna was 1 second slower?

If you watch the session(it's on youtube), you'll see Michael taking the Benneton to it's limits while Senna does some quite ok laps.

  • @ericjoy54 Mclaren had same engine way before. lol

Watch British(Donington or Silverstone, don't remember which) 93 qualifying to see Murray Walker saying that Mclaren already were using same spec engine as Benneton. With same engine, Senna was trashed by 1 second in Spa, stop dreaming.

  • The transition in picture quality between Eurosport and the other feed is amazing. The latter has the better commentary though.

  • Another great upload. The Senna Irvine dust up later was classic.

  • @swistral1 didnt senna end up punching Irvine in the mouth or something?

  • @djbadlt Something like that lol.

  • @djbadlt A shame that we don't see that same passion any more, isn't it?

Last I heard Lewis Hamilton was hugging Felipe Massa...

  • @altroval to quote Robin Miller, "hate is good"
