  • Very shocked at you being a good shot off the show. Your accuracy with the handguns is very good. Speed up though. You're going really slow. Service handgun shooting is about lots of "good enough" hits in as little time as possible, potentially on multiple targets, whether its competition or practical application.

  • Jay, honestly I wasn't sure if I liked you or not at the beginning of the season, even though you proved to be such a great shooter from the very first episode. I started rooting for you halfway throughout the show when people try to eliminate you, and you just keep coming back again and again.

It sucked to see competitors helping their friends and getting trying to get rid of the ones truly talented. PS. Fuck Ashley, and George. They belong in New Jersey Shore (especially George)

  • @SomeOneFromOFS Thanks for the comment. A lot of it is editing. First 3 episodes, they never showed me laughing or smiling much. Then in "Behind The Bullet" they showed my real personality more. Oh well, guess that's how they got the ratings :) Glad they showed a bit of the truth toward the end.

  • I've gotten some inquiries on the "wire" coming out of my vest pocket at 2:00 while shooting skeet. That's actually connected to a voice activated puller from Clay Delay. If you decide to buy one, mention my name and get shipping free.

  • Jay, i wish this was a competition ( Top Shot ), but i think it's more like a reality show.

  • @aw3t464747 It was a reality show where I played myself - a golf instructor who can shoot guns :)

  • I was bummed to see you go. Not very sportsmanlike of the other guys. Cool audition video, too.

  • I don't mean to sound unpatriotic, but the way you were received towards the end of things made me really scratch my head and go "well, our military sure is filled with a buncha jerks." Really seemed childish. And yeah, once you make it to the green team, voting should be gone away with.

  • fuck the last 4. especially george cause hes a cocky, arrogant, ignorant, pathetic douche bag. he needs that stick out of his ass. fuck ashley too. Top shot season 1 was good but s2? come on whats up with this gay butt buddy bullshit.

and props to you jay honestly. you always end up surprising people lol

  • i thought jay was a douche and still think he is. so ungrateful in my opinion.

  • huge ego, horrible character, hate to see him win.

  • what a mad sexy wife

  • how does this make sense...you hold the gun...(dont wanna say properly) but for better accuracy in this video, but you do the cup and saucer grip on top shot and refuse to hold it the way you are in this video.

  • @xPROF4NEx I used the same grip in this audition tape as I did on the show. Brad Engmann from season 1 came down to hang out and showed me some stuff, so I hold differently and after some time practicing the new way am now even more accurate ;)

  • In season 2 of Top Shot, although he didn't win, I thought that Jay Lim was the best shooter. He proved his skills against powerhouses Jermaine and Daryl to pull off shocking eliminations. Jay was the most well rounded shooter in the house, the only problem was that he wasn't the most popular, which is why he was put into elmination so many times. I don't care who won, Jay Lim is the true Top Shot

  • @aRandomMoormin Thank you!

  • I just saw the episode where Jay was eliminated, and I was like WTF? I cant believe those faggots did that. Especially that douche air force sniper. I dont understand how they can let such obvious racism and discrimination on TV. I go to a pretty big public range and if I ever see those guys at the range you can believe that Im gonna give them a piece of my mind. Worthless bunch of fags in my opinion. Jay Lim was S2 top shot as far as im concerned, A+ for using classic pistol grip, I use it too.

  • @HeroSavage Thanks for the support. A lot of people see it the way you do. However, I don't think racism was a part of the equation. I'm half chinese and half filipino and George is also half filipino too.

  • those shurikens scared the living bejeesis outta me

  • Thanks for all the recent posts. You can find me on facebook. Just search - jaylimtopshot@yahoo.com. Talk to you soon!

  • I thought this guy was a douche at first but wound up pulling for him as the show went on. He did pretty well

  • Great job bro :)

  • Legit!!

  • As for your shoot skills! I think you are very amateurish! You train yourself in many wrong ways, for you are not a good student and too good to be teached!

So you waste a lot of your talent. The remaining talent and a lot of sweats makes you a Great Accurate Shooter!

And you are better than many professionals!

If you learn more about grip, more posture, more kind of guns, you absolutely will be a grate professional!

    Conclusion:You were,are and will be a good,wonderful,talented,gifted man!

  • From the show,I think you have a strong personality!

You always helped to give "unsolicited advice ",for you always have confidence to be better than others, that attitude makes people dislike you!Even you are actually better!

And you hardly take or try other's advice, which are mostly helpful!

I think you have too much self-confidence so you becomes somehow self-esteem!

But that character makes who you are! That's a proper character of a talented athlete!

  • does the claweye string have any new mods coming out, because its really got a weak pullback?

  • Any1 know if theirs age requirements for this? Besides the recurve bow (i dont own one) and the shurikins (i dont even know whered youd find one) I'm able to do all of that stuff. I can hit a dime from 30 yards out with my .22 :) ... I'm 16 btw

  • were can u get all sights and stabilizers for ur recurve bow

  • @nbow27 I don't know where you are, so my best suggestion would be to search online

  • Well Jay, you have given me some ideas for my video for Season V if I do not get the call this week. At least my golf game is getting better waiting for a call ;-).

    Sincerely,

    David McGillis

  • Good job Jay, I was rooting for you, you almost made it. Love the part when you beat the military guy in the .22 elimination.

  • hey i was wondering casn you shoot recurve without sight?

  • @nbow27 - I've done it a few times, but not very often.

  • WHAT CAN'T YOU DO DUDE???!!

  • @gascanbad - I can't help but give unsolicited advice all the time ;)

  • @tr1ewq Hey you are the topshot guy! I see the program just today and recognize you immediately!

You were, are and will be good, wonderful, talented, gifted man!

  • @tr1ewq Hey,I saw TopShot Season2 and can't help to take a comment here immediately!

You failed in vote competition which loos like a "individual" competition!

I think they can't accept a possible result that you beat all American Army:Marines, seals, navies, airforces, etc!

So they rig the show and murder you in front of the audience! What a shame of TopShot!

  • man , props dude. when i started watching i was thinkin, damn, the way they cut it makes the asian dude look all antisocial and shit, this sucks.

but that changed up. was def rooting for you at the end when you kept showing your skills whenever u got challenged.

  • woooo!!excelenteee!

  • the show is very rigged. i really think it should be about individual marksmanship rather than collective salvation. but thats america for you. you still the winner in my book.

  • At first I was kinda like "who is this guy?!" But as the show wore on, I found myself rooting for you. Ashley and George just pissed me off more and more as the season went on. It got to be funny as the golf instructor sent the shooters home. Have fun at Bass Pro!! :) And when the bow competition came? I had thought I had heard you say you shot Yumi bows? Is that correct? I knew you'd take em on that one. Good show Jay.

  • @mwig50 - Thank you!! I actually shoot a Border Bow. Don't know if they make Olympic recurves anymore though.

  • WHEN YOU GOT SENT HOME I WAS SOOOO PISSED

  • You put up with some real BS. You have nothing to be ashamed of, especially considering how new you were to shooting a the time.

  • Keep up the work. Hate the .50 cal got in your way

  • Even though I think your personality and attitude might be annoying in person, and your technique is clearly not the norm, I am very impressed with your natural talent. With some training and discipline you could be very good.

  • Yeah dude, you did awesome... It's stupid that it always becomes a high school popularity contest. If it was actually based on shooting skills, instead of high school politics, you would have been in the final competition. You've got more natural talent than any of the 'professionally' trained (military) guys or competition shooters.

  • I wished you won.

  • Seriously fuck that voting bull shit Jay and Jamie. Ashley was such a douchebag. It would have been awesome if Jamie or Jay won.

  • You should try the stuff in McGivern's revolver book. He did stuff like shoot a can six times before it hit the ground, hit coins thrown into the air... some amazing stuff. Frankly, I want to be that good some day.

  • ultimate zombie killer

  • I liked the final four but the only one who should have been there was Reed

  • Does that bow get free disk TV???

  • quite honestly i dont know why everyone disliked you on top shot you seemed like a very nice guy and i thought you were just trying to help when you were giving ppl. tips i mean you did pick the team you should be able to help em out and i was so disappointed that you lost cause they didn't like you honestly i think you would have won if every1 didn't have a problem with the fact that you weren't military.

  • Hey Jay, what was it like being on Top Shot?

  • @kocheskid - It was a once in a lifetime opportunity and definitely a unique experience. I mean, you can't just say, I wanna be on Top Shot and get on the show based on some kind of qualification criteria. Someone has to choose you to be on the show. I am still amazed to see myself on TV :) If you think you can make it, send in an application and a video. I never thought I would make it out of the thousands who applied. If you don't send an app, you'll never know :) See you soon!

  • Jay, by far you and Jamie should have been in the finals, had it not been for the immature school yard politics and the anti-military bias you had to endure. Enjoyed watching your performances on the show, best of luck mate!

  • It would have been awesome if one of the challenges was to get as close to a hole in one as possible. That would be one hell of a shot!

  • Wish Jay had been in the final four...He ruled, and took out some stiff stuffed-shirt competitors...

  • hey very good job as the last civilian you you pulled your self up very well best to you your family and your career

  • great job, sucks that they ganged up on you, at least you kept your dignity unlike everyone else except joe and jamie.

  • Man I was rootin for you the whole time ! I wanted to see the golf instructor kick Ashley and George's butts !

  • Cool demos. I am sad that you didn't get to make it further on the show, but you shot great while you were there. The tight clique that formed underestimated you-- I hope you continue to compete.

Btw, your wife is gorgeous! Congrats on your baby, too :)

  • The show was rigged... Even if you had beaten Jamie in the elimination challenge, you still would have had to win 4 more, because George, Ashley, Joe, and Chris would have voted for you every single time.

  • @MrGuitaristMatt That doesn't make the show rigged. It means that those four were butt buddies and stuck together.

  • Thanks for all your support! It's nice to know that there are people out there who think that voting shouldn't be part of the "individual" competition. Thanks for your support and add me as a friend on facebook! Updates on public appearances. Let's talk about TOP SHOT in person. See you all soon!

  • @tr1ewq i agree what were they thinking making voting in the individual challenge. that was definitly for the ratings and of course the military guys would group together in that situation

  • Great season Jay, you impressed everyone and most of all, earned respect.

  • What's funny is that new wave person doesn't know he left!

    :P

  • You definitely had a good run, good shooting.

    P.S. George is a douchebag.

  • My favorite on Top Shot. Hope you win.

  • My favorite on Top Shot. Hope you win.

  • man U werent supposed to be da one man!!! aja I wuz mad wen U went home tho

  • I was hoping Jay would make it to the end : ( It makes no sense that after the team competition the competitors were still being selected for elimination through the nomination range. A little disappointed it wasn't set up to prefer competitors based on performance vs alliances, completely lame.

  • Really thought you were gonna win but it really wasn't fair for you :( still did good

  • jay is the next one to go...he doesnt deserve to win

  • LOL is this actually jay? cuz if it is, i wanted to say that it was soooo badass when you beat daryl in that elimination. came back with an asian comeback hahaha. definitely my favorite on the show. go asian skills!! p.s. im not korean but im chinese.

  • @ironmaidenowns - Yes, this is actually me :) Add me on facebook - Jay Lim -Top Shot Season 2. Lots of people to talk to about the show and updates on my public appearances. See you soon!

  • Great job, Jay! You're well on your way to win :)

  • jay your a beast ive been watching and you just wreck people xD

  • Nice shot jay u always out perform everyone when it comes down to it. Everyone always say good luck but ill say why need luck when u have skill lol, but I really think ur holding back on them u just don't want them to know it yet, it's like taking candy from a baby to u and u know it. ps. Keep up the good work and ill be seeing u next week

  • Nice shots with the recurve (and everything else), Jay! We're pulling for ya.

  • one of my favorites on topshot I hope he won aja

  • @415erboy - Thanks! Glad you're enjoying the show!

  • Have you tried changing your pistol grip after the comp? Somehow you keep beating people with the more recent style grip lol, good work!

  • @snowyphil65 - I am primarily an Olympic Pistol shooter, but when I hold with 2 hands, I hold like they do now after some practice, there are practical applications to the grip. But, I wouldn't have changed just before a competition ;)

  • golf instcructer vs. world champions. i hope you win

  • @LaZyAzNbOy23 - Thanks for your vote of confidence! See you on Tuesday!

  • go jay!!!

  • @tr1ewq You made season 2 im talkin to a famous person

  • @suferwill808 - Who knows? You may be famous one day too!

  • sick man. i'm only 14 but just watching top shot has made me want to learn to shoot guns. Hope you win

  • ya woo go asians ftw i was kinda pissed when they tried to eliminate u i was like wtf ur like the best one on the team but like some ppl say i dont think ur team ploting against u good luck nice shooting

  • Very impressive indeed. Shot my first two rounds today. Getting to know more on shooting is definitely exciting. Glad your half filipino by the way...wish you the best of luck.

Asintado sa lahat ng tira. Goodluck Jay.

  • reminds me of mark zuckerburg for some reason

  • Representing us koreans! You're pretty damn good considering the competition is full of former military dudes, law enforcement, and generally people who have shot longer than you have. You still held your ground and got through that elimination challenge. It's a shame people on your team are against you, especially Daryl. I guess you came out a little too strong on them, made a bad impression. best of luck, hope you get far!

  • @Huhmasta - Thanks for the comment and vote of confidence. I tried my best. By the way, I'm half Chinese half Filipino. Find me on facebook for updates on each episode. Hope you enjoy the rest of the show.

  • @tr1ewq ahh I see, I assumed by your last name that you were Korean. My bad. And yeah I'll find you on facebook

  • @tr1ewq....Hey, just wanted to let you know im rooting for you and ill keep watching. Best wishes.

  • Damn. Living life to its fullest. Climb Everest and you're about done

  • @JackandBlood - Thank you! I live to reach the "edge of the world". Our world is no longer just a physical place. It's defined by those who stand out. There is only 1 Tiger Woods - I consider him the edge of the golf world. A conversation with him would be touching the "edge of the world". Being chosen as a contestant on Top Shot Season 2 has brought me very close to the edge of the world. Climbing Whatever I think, I can make my body do and SO CAN YOU!

  • Where's the credit for the bike? Give us some info.

  • @krihanek117 - The bike is a 2000 Yamaha R1. Full titanium yoshimura exhaust, Ohlins rear and front shocks, Attach rearsets and reverse shift, speedo healer, Scotts steering damper, Hi-point rims, 3 up on the back and one down on the front sprockets. That picture was taken at Fontana. It's for sale. Send me a message if you or anyone you know wants to buy it.

  • You know you say you only have a year of firearm experience, now I would say with what you have done, that is impressive. But you being a golf instructor shows that you have the patience to determine shots with the club and would definitely help with your shots with the gun. Being patient is key when making accurate shots with a rifle.

  • Hope you get the $100,000 prize. But I think your teammates are starting to plot against you.

  • He's Jason Bourne disguised as an asian golf instructor

  • Nice bulleyes on TopShot.

  • Very impressive. Looks like you would have done well on season one with the rest of us. It will be interesting to see (if you are selected) how you will do on season two.

    Best of luck

    Kelly Bachand

  • @TheKellz - Thanks! You did really well on the show and everyone can see that you were definitely one of the most talented. I can't wait to watch Season 2! They will definitely have to come up with bigger and better things to top last season. Will you be at the shot show in January? I hear a bunch of the cast from last season will be there.

  • @TheKellz......Hey, I just wanted to say you are a very talented marksman. I was rooting for you last season man! I hope school goes good for you. Best wishes.

  • Thanks! Never tried fly casting, but willing to give it a try.

  • Excellent, now if you can fly cast as good as everything you have shown.

    Keep up and good luck.
