This video had a written script that someone was reading. Is it possible to have the script posted up at the top by solarwindmama's introduction. I was trying to type out the instructions, but it was rather lengthy and am hoping that you can just cut and paste! Thanks and God bless you!
There is a company called the Dead Wood Stove Company that claims to have invented this stove and has a patent pending. Can anyone say patent abuse! people should spread the word and defeat this companies attempts.
thanks for the video...im a gonna build a smaLL one like this first ... then try to build a bigger mud covered mass one in my cabin fun house cant wait
hello, a cool and informative vid thanks! just one point was the corrugated sheet is it galvanized ? i dont know if you know but when galvanized metal is heated to high temps it gives of toxic fumes also if you search most web site say " Never eat or drink, from any galvanize product."
@minkomadness saying that its fake is an ignorant statement. bu ti do agree that its realy not affecting the Earth enough to actualy be causing any damage. and one of the main ideas of "alternative energy", isnt just about ozone, but its about the fact that there is not an unlimeited supply of gasoline on this Earth. and even though global warming isnt too bad, there still is a thing called air pollution, which is very real.
I stumbled onto this video...what is the advantage of a 'Rocket Stove' over a hobo stove, regular camp stove, coleman stove, etc.? What advantage does this have over a 'Dakota Firepit', other than portability? Thanks.
The hobo stoves are said to be a lot less efficient. A Coleman stove needs fuel you have to buy where as this uses fuel you usually can find laying around. Not sure what exactly you mean by a "regular camp stove". The Dakota Firepit I think uses a similar idea for burning the wood, but being in the ground would have poor insulating properties.
I'm not a real expert, so if someone is please correct me if I'm wrong.
Try making a hobo stove, regular camp stove and coleman stove.
Or, if you think about it for a second, you might find it isnt that easy to make something (which to you) may seem so simple. For example, even the hobo stove requires tools which are hard to obtain for some people on this planet to make. Bear in mind, the end-user of the Rocket stove doesnt have the tools/technology/money to cut a coffee tin let alone research it on Youtube or buy it off Ebay.
I want to build both. this year, and last, we had bad power outages. I have a wood burning stove, it is the only reason we did not freeze. I did manage to cook on our grill, but ran out of propane and was unable to buy any more. thanks of this posting.

is this similar to wood gas?

Good luck with your project. If you use the stove inside your cabin, you should put a hood above the stove to vent the co2 outside.

@PiPphiltitley Hi I'm not sure if the corrugated sheet we used was galvanized. We just used whatever we could find. Good point about the toxic fumes.

global warming is fake
the earth goes through natural cycles of temperature swings. humans are far too insignificant co2 producers to alter the chemistry if the earth.
the only reason i'd use "alternative energy" is if it's cheaper. i could give a damn about all the other over-hyped nonsense.
