I don't know what type of guitar do you have but the "malmsteen" tone is pretty much strat with single coil pickups and an overdrive in front of a crunch amp setting (ie. MS OLD model on the GFX-5) it is not about distortion but boosting.
As far as digital modeling goes the closest to the malmsteen tone I've heard are the digitech marshall models and the behringer V-AMP
@TheBlackxism I really have not tried to duplicate the 808 on this unit in particular, I could tell you that the Line 6 POD XT does a nice job modeling the TS808

dude as you seem to owm a maxon OD 808 and an ibanez 808 as well..can you get similar tone on the gfx 5!! please respond
