Alfred, this echo effect doesn't make it sound more lively. It actually makes the room sound unfurnished and hollow. It also emphasizes all words containing the letter 'S'. It's horrible and really annoying because I have to turn down the volume immediately. I use really nice JBL powered speakers.

@theabominable Mastering software as applied after the live broadcast to enhance the sound and make it sound a bit more alive for the YouTube audience. If you have decent speakers, it sounds great.

@GeekisCarnage i think he has a pretty fast connection so it is probably the processing that takes the longest.

@GeekisCarnage it depends on resolution. this video appears to be 360p since there is no option for a 480p. when i do a 720p, it takes me about 2.5 hours for a 10 minute video. this is also probably because i have a slower comcast broadband connection, the economy one.

@prestigebroadcasts A valid question, with regards to why I don't actually wear the headphones. There is a reason, as I have explained this to the live viewing audience. My hearing is hypersensitive, where a sudden spike in volume (such as a cough) will cause me great pain. As such, I need to be able to pull the earpiece away very quickly. I am going to be putting an in-line limiter, to see if I can do this electronically, but until then, it's as you see it. - Alfred.

problem with the DLSRs with video functionality is a) the focus that is not fast enough and b) the sensor can get dusty easily because the shutter is open all the time when you take video..
