He may not always interpret a piece the way you would like but he rarely makes those common mistakes of buzzing or incorrect damping that so many of the so called greats seem unable to avoid.
I still don't know the key to the stamina that John has, I think it's the nails, but regardless with or without the nails he will still sound great. I can't play like this!
2.50' minute is a wrong note he is playing a G natural but there is G# ,, and at 2.54 it's another wrong note- it is G# and he is playing with G naural-,, anyway the original work is in Eb dur(Es dur) and everyone plays it in D dur,,, i guess BACH is not verry happy with that
@collengregory Firstly, baroque pitch is A=415hz which is almost exactly a semitone lower than modern concert pitch, therefore D major at modern concert pitch is nearly exactly the pitch Bach composed it in (ot that Bach objected transposition when transcribing).
Secondly, You are completely wrong about the wrong notes. Check the score, particularly the urtext edition by Paulo Cherici, and you'll find Williams is playing the correct notes.

Ivan Rijos "mejor"? In what specifically? Why can't people accept the professionality of these guitarists? They are, simply, different. Segovia, Williams and Bream are and will always be the cornerstones of all time.
Fantastic! I have to say this though: why did John Williams ever change this guitar for a Smallman? IMHO the sound of this Fleta is superior.

Fantastic performance of Sevilla, it makes hard us to believe that he even find a way to play it better after he meet Paco Pena.

Brilliant. As always John Williams captures the true spirit of the music. Passionate yet still sensitive.
