To construct a 4.2L VQ we start with a core 3.5L VQ35 block. First we remove the stock cylinder walls and fit Darton MID sleeves to it. Next we bore it to 100mm. Finally we fit a stroker crank, rods, and 100mm pistons working together to create our 4.2L VQ.
Just a question to anyone in general, but what's the highest N/A number you've seen. As in, without turbo or super charger or any of that stuff, just bolt ons, fuel injectors, w/e. 'Cause through bolt ons and a couple extra, I'm trying to get it to like 400+WHP
wow 400whp N/A its now where easy and i dont think a vq35 will make 400whp on regular stroke... maybe with a stroker kit , cams , High pistons, high injectors or maybe ITBS, then u could get some place near 350whp but more than that its gonna be hard
Yeah, right now I stand at 347WHP. Re-did the block to a 3.7L, 420CC injectors, 255 Walbro pump, Kinetix Intake Manifold, Custom CAI, TB Spacer, Unorthodox Pulleys, Kinetix Hi-Flows, Stillen Y-Pipe, A'Pexi N1 EXTi Exhaust, RPS Flywheel, NGK Iridium plugs, Jim Wolf Valve spring, Jim Wolf Cams, JE 9.0:1 Aluminum Pistons, UTEC, pretty much all I can think of right now. Oh yeah, GReddy Oil Filter. LOL!
I recently took most of it out though 'cause I wanted the '07 G35 Coupe 6MT. Want to keep the parts so I can put it back in. So right now it's working on the CAI, TB Spacer, Stillen Y-Pipe, Kinetix Hi-Flows, Kinetix Intake manifold, NGK Spark Plugs, Apexi N1 Exhaust, and the GReddy Oil Filter. LOL! I think the GReddy Oil Filter's probably gave me the most power so far.
Well bro there is a way to get 400 or 500 out of that vq naturally aspirated but i don't think it would be legal animore here in Long beach oen of my boys who is afiliated with import tuner have a g35 that made that much i couldn't believe it but most of the parts they used worth Cosworth and NISMO
Dynojets read hella high numbers and thats a well known fact.. Either way you are making crazy power on just pump gas..Are you running any sort of water/methanol injection? What octane is that gas that you can get at the pump in your area?
Which is why we show the dyno numbers from a DynoDynamics and a Dynojet. No water/meth injection - only 92 octane gas from the pump. The car is daily driven in this form.
That is a lot of Parrrrr
