  • IMPOSSIBRU

  • Good night Japan!

  • thankyou

  • This is awesome. They are both wearing blue gloves so David grabs Sinya Aoki's hand and starts figiting around with it and thinks that it is his hand. Since Shinya Aoki's hand isn't moving or David thinks that his hand is broken so he raises his hand and says, "I broke my hand!" and looses. Then right after the fight David is examining his hand and he's thinking.. "well at least it's not broken anymore.." Haa haa

  • @ung427 that's not what happened at all. He's admitted he said Hello Japan. No pro fighter would ever stop defending the seatbelt/over-unders just to yell that their hand is broken. They would wait until the round is over. His nickname is Hello Japan. He said it and admitted he said it.

  • @WhtMike2006 That's strage. It sounds just like he said "I broke my hand!" Right after he gently caressed Aoki's hand. Hmm.

  • @ung427 Also, look at his lips.. "hello japan" or "I broke my hand"... it's strange that his mouth moves like, "I broke my hand"

  • @ung427 Just go to his official fightfinder on Sherdog. He personally requested that they change his nickname to David "Hello Japan" Gardner.

  • @ung427 A few simple Google searches will show you everything you want to know about the incident. I saw it live. It was hilarious. I also train and compete. I'm telling you that no matter how dumb any pro MMA fighter could be (Gardner is pretty dumb), no one would stop actively defending a "dead-zone" spot like that (opponent on back, both hooks in, seatbelt control) to say they broke their hand. They would wait and tell their corner at the end of the round. David fucked up. It's that simple.

  • @ung427 you are stupid sir.

  • @DrJinIchi You don't call me sir!! What's wrong with you? Didn't your mother teach you any manners? Sir!!? I can't believe they let you get away with that on Youtube!

  • Kid Yamaoto "Goodbye Japan"

  • Why Why Why would you do that with Shinya Aoki on your back? WHY?

  • he wasn't saying "Hello Japan"

he wasn't saying "I broke my hand"

    he said "hello my hand"

    *hand hugs him*

  • what a moron.

  • Comment removed

  • Guy: "Hello Japan"

    Japan: "Herro Sirry American"

  • Funny how in the end he just shrugs it off "oh well" lol

  • He shoulda said: KONNICHIWA, NIPPON-DESU! :D

  • when your in a fucking fight you don't try to be funny and this is why you lose you dumb idiot.

  • Haha atleast he admits it and plays it up.His nick name is actually David "Hello Japan" Gardner.LOL

  • "Foorish Amelican, frawress victoly"

  • @myaclick If he said no, would you be convinced?

  • @alaricofarabia HAHAHA!!!

  • he wanted to do the same thing jason miller did when he made the sign peace =)

  • @jeffhardde this was way before the mayhem sakuraba fight.

  • I'm convinced the announcers are yelling "Stupid white boy".

  • David Gardners "Hello Japan"........"Ugh.....good night Japan"

  • @myaclick yes im alive didn't affect the people in Niseko

    thank you

  • im going to japan today

  • hahahahahahaha Dav dav dav...

why didn't you take this seriously?

did you wanna apeal to your fans? than to put on fight?

didn't you know that Shinya Aoki is a legit grappler?

  • Epic Fail

  • Watch the full fight video he waves to the crowd once before he actually gets tapped...

  • lol no he did not say i broke my hand. he wouldn't sit there for a while and then say he broke his hand after the fact. and then after he taps during the fight and shrug his shoulders like eh i just fucked up lol

  • even if he said "i broke my hand"(which he didn't) its still a bad move on his part. fighters break their hands all the time in fights. it is NOT something that they need to stop the fight for unless you are verbally tapping because you don't want to continue. anyway i think the guy is just trying to be entertaining. its part of his job. he just chose the worst time to do it.

  • Sounds a bit as he says "Broken hand" and waves with his right hand. But sounds even more like "Hello Japan"

  • @74G56 Mouthguard anyone?

  • @74G56 hahaha, hey wise guy before you begin acting all intellectually superior to everyone, have you even bothered to watch the full fight where it's obvious he's saying "hello japan" as a joke and there's no point in time where gardner breaks his hand? why don't you type in gardner vs aoki and watch the video in high def. you can clearly read his lips and hear "hello japan"

  • he didnt say hello japan. he said "i broke my hand."

  • No, he said "Hello Japan." Admitted it too.

  • @DGoodwald When should he have broken his hand?

When your hand is broken you look to the ref, tell that to him and give up or you fight on. You don't wave at the audience and you don't smile. He didn't look to the ref so what ever he said is unimportant.

Also did he protest the decision?

  • STUPID move, but fucking hilarious!

  • A prime example of American stupidity.

  • Comment removed

  • As you speak the American language, use an American invention to type and connect to the internet, with an Anglicized version of "Mark" as your name. Tool.

  • i thought the language was english

  • typical american thing to do

    fuckin ego and shit

  • @hardpunk10101

really? are you seriously talking shit about this guy's ego... while he's fighting AOKI FUCKING SHINYA??? Out of the two of them, you really chose to call out the ego of the "hello japan" guy???

anyway.. loll at the commentator saying "goodbye, Japan" after Gardner submits.

  • They're in a ring, jackass.

  • dude ignore all the thumbs down they're uneducated retards everything u r sayin is true they dont know shit

  • Goodnight Gardner! Haha it's as if he gave up against Shinya. Love Shinya.

  • yea i was just about to say he already knew it was over so he tried being funny

  • Hello, Japan!

    Goodnight, Gardner.

  • lol, nothing wrong with his glove - he has said in interviews that he was bored. he fixes his glove afterwards because he is embarrassed from just being pwnd by his own stupidity.

  • And the MMA Darwin award goes to...

  • thats natural selection in the ring

  • wow

smartest thing i've seen all day

  • unbelievable...what an idiot.

  • Epic battles between Japan and America.

    1st round

Famous Kiss and knocked out before beginning of the match.

    2nd round

    Hello Japan

  • LMMFAO x 1000

  • HAHA

  • @Timepark the kissing was a korean guy.

  • the best part is when aoki did his speech and said hello japan and then talked shit about it lol

  • This guy just replaced Nakamura's "ok I'm going to remove my gi jacket in the middle of a fight" move as the stupidest thing ever done during a pro mma fight. Wow.

  • What a fucking idiot. You have Shinya Aoki on your back and you decide to waive. HA!

  • Hahaha omg epic fail

    EPIC

  • バカ 笑

    idot lol

  • what a stupid redneck

  • hello FAIL

  • He got owned hardly...

  • that's so fuuny, so stupid.

  • This will go down in MMA history. At least if he wasn't going to win and be more well known, he is now!

  • jajaj q bobo por hacerse el piola

  • hahaha..moron!! this is how japan say hi to u back.. LOFL..

  • I'm embarrassed for him.

  • HELLO JAPAN!

  • Was stupid and a huge fail btw.

  • rainbow pants FTW!!!!!

  • And these are the people they are using to promote Aoki? Nice..

  • How is that any difference from what Jason Miller was recently doing, and Miller is a great fighter.

  • Great fighter is an overstatement. He's a good fighter, and this guy is a can. Shit, they should have just picked a random bum off the street.

Point being, Aoki deserves better competition. People dog the UFC a lot, but you'd never see Chuck Liddell or Matt Hughes (guys past their prime) fighting below average competition to get a win streak going.

  • As opposed to guys who are in their prime, such as Aoki, getting fed piss poor cans that wave to the crowd when they are clearly outclassed, then not giving a fuck afterwards.

  • well, you're right in a way, but in this case, they gave Aoki an inferior opponent because he's moving up to welterweight, so this is just him getting used to being heavier. Kinda like Anderson Silva fighting Irvin, I guess. Except Irvin didn't even have time to wave. haha.

  • I guess but I felt they could have given him a little bit better competition. I mean the last fight he had in DREAM was against Todd Moore, I'm not sure if that was at WW or not, but regardless, time to up the antie a little bit.

Irvin is nothing spectacular, but I think he's certainly a more formattable opponent than this numb-nuts.

  • Since 07 Aoki has fought 11 times while bj has fought 4

  • If you're trying to assume that I'm more of a BJ Penn supporter than Aoki, you're riding the wrong train homeboy.

I'm on your side boys...trust me. Aoki is one of my top 5 favorite fighters, which is why I want don't want to see him fight absolute BUMS like this guy, even if it's a "welcome party" to welterweight.

And my only point being is that world class fighters should not be fighting amateur cans. I don't care how many times he fights a year.

  • Chuck Liddell and Matt Hughes (who recently fought Royce Gracie... lol) don't fight NEARLY as often as Aoki, you can't have top competition every fight under those circumstances.

Matt Hughes and Chuck Liddell each fought 1 times last year (against Thiago Alves and Rashad Evans). Aoki fought SEVEN times last year; including Hansen, Alvarez, JZ and Uno.

Hughes and Chuck have it easy compared to Aoki..

  • Recently as in 3 years ago? Okay...

Chuck had an injury the majority of the year, I think you remember it. As for Hughes, I have no idea, but that's not even the point.

Okay, Aoki had 4 good fights last year, don't even count Uno. He's not a quality opponent anymore. Fighting JZ twice, Alvarez, and Hansen is cool..and again, that's the fighters he should be fighting. Not bums like this. Fighting 3 quality opponents in a year is the norm for world class fighters like Aoki.

  • Oh and I forgot to add, JZ/Aoki 1 could hardly be considered a fight.

  • chuck fought twice wanderlie in january and then evens hughes isnt he done lol oh wait he is fighting serrie who cares means nothing

  • I'm pretty sure he fought Wanderlei in December.

  • December of 07. After that he was supposed to fight Shogun and had a pretty hellacious injury.

  • yeah I guess your right I am sorry I looked it up he did fight wandy in december. I honestly miss pride alittle and the ufc is getting old quick

  • I can definitely agree with that, I really miss Pride too :(

  • say's the guy who doesn't train. Gardner is a tough fella he's beatin rich clementi, IFL champion Ryan Shultz and ken alexander all who have fought in the ufc/ wec.

  • Me not training has nothing to do with Aoki getting fed cans.

Beating Clementi is nothing to write home about. I don't care where they fought. He's still a hack and waves to the crowd with a jitz ace on his back.

  • Not to mention that win against Clementi was 5 years ago. Gardner is a joke. Just because he's beaten a few people you heard of doesn't make him any more than a hack.

  • you get in the cage with g and you might really be lumpy

  • jitz hahah i never heard that abbreviation

  • what a moron!!!!!! ahahahah EPIC FAIL

    thanks for posting this
