I was on Myspace the other day and there were at least three Scientology ads up. Two groups I found have 600+ members.

I've noticed they seem to have ads all over YouTube, especially on critical videos.

Of course, 90% of the time they don't have the actual Scientology name in it, it's just some front like Freedom Magazine, Drug Free Marshalls, or CCHR.

My (hopeful) take on all the added scientology advertising is they really need new members. Anonymous and all of the related press have had a substantial negative effect as has the poor economy. Ponzi scheme's require more and more new meat to survive.

They put their Boston ("church") up for sale in Boston last week and have purchased a huge condemned new building here to rehab with the money from the sale.

I saw a particularly disturbing ad for way to hapiness in which a man cheated on his wife and was beaten up by all of these women and he came home battered and bruised and the title was cheating hurts completely ignoring the violent abuse that happened to the guy as if it were his fault had that been a woman there would be an outrage...to use that kind of violence in an ad for a"church" is disturbing but to say its ok cause he cheated is far worse!!!

As they told me, anyone can get suckered into a cult. Often member of cults are very smart people...that's why they were looking for something else to do. I noticed some new youtube accounts advertising Scientology, and I figured at least some of these users might be examining the videos which shed a bad light on them, but when I attempted to write them back, I often discover they don't have any feedback options open to the public, and their comments box is disabled. I also notice some of the new accounts seem to be created solely to the purpose of advertising, as they show little activity.

I have watched Co$'s latest videos and they are very well made and beautiful, even....only up until the end where they direct the viewer to go to a Church of $cientology.

I think that unquestionably Anonymous has had a tremendous positive impact in terms of presenting the other side of this dilemma, but let us not forget that there are still lots of people who do not know the evil lurking behind those glossy commercials....which is why we still have work to do with some serious lulzy bsns :o)
