The video was fine to you decided to address a few million people as "illiterate rednecks." After such, everything you have said, or said prior lost all reasonable meaning. It's funny, every- time I see somebody make a gross generalization about a group of gun-owners, as in calling them names when you no nothing about them it shows that you don't have a damn clue what you're talking about. Making moronic comments like that, isn't going to win anybody to your side of the argument.

I wasn't referring to all gun owners (which would be a much larger group than you have indicated), just the crazy ones who are, in fact, crazy rednecks without a great level of literacy. I myself am not opposed to gun ownership, just assault weapons and other things of that I perceive as a threat to public safety. The "illiterate rednecks with their own armies" that I refer to are usually far right groups with racist views or some delusional belief in a conspiracy, in other words, Idaho.

No, you were referring to a large percentage of a specific group, of which that group happens to be fairly large. So what about those Mexican drug gangs in the U.S., or the black gangs in the U.S. that kill hundreds, probably thousands of people each year? I suppose those "redneck" armies are more dangerous than them right? I mean, since apparently to you, owning a gun is proclamation of racism, well as long as you live in the south or mid-west at least. Then I guess, those groups are perfectly legit, right? But no...gotta bash those law-abiding, tax paying "rednecks" because they own guns.

And let's talk about those "assault" weapons. The problem is, you say, as an individual, that you perceive them as a threat to public safety, but you probably don't have any rational or accredited statistics to back up that information do you? How are those "assault" weapons, which fire one round with one pull of the trigger, anymore dangerous than those non dangerous weapons, which still fire one round with one pull of the trigger? Oh wait...they aren't anymore dangerous.

Also the assualt weapon ban did on ban full auto weapons it banded rifles with pistol grip or a flash hinder in combintaion with a gun that can accept a clip of more than 10 rounds- full auto has been banned since 1913 due a little research before u try and use your more pronunced vocab to impress people instead of just babling nonsense please. and i wont my view back

Indeed. I would image most people who participate in Machine Gun shoots probably consolidate their funds and do this semi-annually or just annually.  Although, real machine-guns are not cheap, they are very expensive. About the cheapest I've ever seen one around $8,000 and up. That's not including the paper-work and shipping which can still be hundreds of dollars. So it's probably safe to say these folks are not strapped for cash in the first place.

Yeah, I think that if I ever find myself in need of weapons of that nature, I'll go to a warzone in Africa where you can buy things like that for almost nothing, at least by American standards.

Maybe, but I'm assuming that if I ever needed (as opposed to merely wanted) a machine gun, I've got bigger problems than gun laws and that the Mafia or whoever I am fighting is more of a threat to my existence than the FBI.

Then again, there can't really be that many machine guns in private hands in the U.S., right? I'm thinking of heavy machine guns like the M-60.

As far as I know any machine-gun manufactured before 1984 is completely legal for a civilian to own. Anything from a fully automatic AK-47 to a fully automatic mini-gun should be legal with the proper paperwork.

Interesting. I still find it interesting that the MP42 has had the fastest rate of fire of any machine gun. Other than the need to preserve ammunition, do you know of any reason why they haven't made something else like the MP42?

Technology has simply evolved. A MP42 would wildly be considered an inferior weapon compared to today's modern weapons.
