  • That poor golfer...

  • What cameras do u guys use?

  • @Thelaman99 This was shot with a Miro 4

  • You should play the video at normal speed, at the end of your videos. I'd love to see that :)

  • 0.02 seconds? That's insane!

  • what camera would recomend for filming slowmotion. its mainly for sport n stuff. so it only has to do up to 1000fps at max.

  • all that happened in less than 0.1 second! WOW!

  • Fake and gay.

  • @MrMLGx7 you are rude-if you can't say something nice-don't say anything.

  • @graciegardener Shut up its obviously a joke calm down.

  • @MrMLGx7 ok, guess i did go off on you, i just am getting so sick of all the rude, profane comments on these vids. if you were only kidding, i apologize.

  • so did anyone see the pod go into the earth that activates the giant 3 legged robot?

  • FAKEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!

  • @danveer <-- no one reply to this guy. hehe im a little scared of the comments that might pop out

  • wow even at 10,000 FPS its very fast O.o

  • Refresh rate? Right?

  • @ultraslo How much storage does 10,000 fps need per second in this resolution?

  • That's amazing. Normally you would expect to see the flash coming down from top to bottom, but due to the enormous speed of the discharge, you just see a appearing flash even at this high speed capture.

  • Run!! Infamous guy is here! Hes evil now!! RUN!

  • on that day 5 people were killed and 40 were injured in Belgium on a festival called Pukkelpop by heavy storm and thunder and lightning.. kinda awkward that he filmed a lightning that day :s

  • Comment removed

  • who said that lightening doesn't strike twice in the same place

  • @Shaneamondos0 This happened so fast that most people would think it was 1 strike.

  • @ultraslo A "strike" only happens once in the same place. The light stream seen from the strike is not the strike itself, a single discharge of electrical energy can result in multiple light streams.

  • @ultraslo can you get something with 300 000 fps then give us a frame by frame video, i assume you know why i listed that number in specific :-)

  • @Shaneamondos0 No, it's one lightning flashing multiple times. Also, I'm sure it didn't strike anything...

  • @AwesomeRaffi27 Ohhhhh i see, haha

  • 10,000fps, thats insane!

  • Damn

  • love slomo

  • It's too bad you can't come up here to my city, the bolts we've been getting are insane!

  • orange lightning?

    AWESOME!

  • You should get one of those fancy 1mil fps cameras :D

  • holy shit is this only 3 seconds long? lol that was madness

  • @IntenseSoldier It is a much shorter time than 3 seconds. The description says it is 0.0268 seconds, which is just over a 40th of a second.

  • @therealEmpyre wow :|

  • COOL :O

  • Isn't this fake? Every bolt looks exactly the same!

  • @MarjanPindakaaz read the description. Each frame of the original "shot" is repeated 5 times in this video (for better clarity while watching) Watch the video again: every 5 "flashes" changes to a slightly different shape of bolt... it really IS amazing.

  • @jayci68 Thanx, sorry for my dumbness :S

  • This whole clip happened in .0268 seconds?! wow

  • This is ultra fast

  • You should show the video at regular speed and then ant slow motion. Would be a lot cooler.

  • @Revenwazhere they can't do that with the camera they use. They use a high-speed camera, they don't "slow down" the video.

  • can any math nerd tell me how ultraslo the camera would have to be to see the bolt come down gradually, not in a single, instant streak?

  • Different types of lightning go at different speeds. I have posted some clips that you can see the motion better @ 4000 fps. I have many clips that did get posted or saved for that matter. I am still looking for the best lightning ever.

  • @AviatorZER0 the crawling lighting you've seen in other videos is the initial "feelers" going down to find the path of least resistance. Basically all the excess electrons looking for a place to jump. After that the electrons can really just flow through those paths at near the speed of light, which is why it no longer appears to gradually come down, there's just no way for it to go slow enough at that point.

  • @AviatorZER0 Go watch Invisible Worlds: Speed Limit. It has a really good bit on lightning.

  • @AviatorZER0 what does that have to do wirh math nerdiness, kid?

  • @swiper33333 I'm no kid, I just don't feel like doing it myself. The math would have to calculate using the shutter speed and the speed of lightning, and maybe more.

  • @AviatorZER0 Well seeing as a typical lightning bolt travels at about 3,700 miles per second, and a lightning bolts usually has to travel about 2-3 kilometers to reach the ground (1.5 miles), this means that the bolt takes about .000405 seconds to reach the ground. If you wanted it to take say, 5 seconds on the screen, you would need about 370,000 frames per second (about 12,360 times slower than normal.

  • @BryceFritzel Wow, thanks! Props to you, brotha. 37x faster than this ultraslo video? Damn.

  • @AviatorZER0 Yep. There are quite a few cameras that can shoot that fast, but at a resolution of only about 128x64 pixels. So you wouldn't see much. Maybe in the next decade or so we can get frame rates that high at higher resolution.

  • @AviatorZER0 put this into google: "lecture-6-high-voltage-breakdown-and-lightning" it's a educational video about the fascinating physics behind lightning... and that not all is known about it!

  • KEWL =^.^+

  • Fun fact: lighting from the sky is invisible, what you see its the return shock bounced off the earth.

  • holy shit

  • This definitely illustrates just how fast lightning happens. It would look quite similar even filmed at 100,000 FPS.

  • I think you need a higher high speed camera D:

  • fake

  • where was this taken?

  • @hotboi745 Port Washington, NY over Manhasset Bay looking south

  • @ultraslo thank you for such description.

  • haha this is cool

  • 3P1K

  • Awesome shots. Some of these people just dont get how slow this is. I find it fascinating. Nice job.

  • at first i was like.. " so much for the 'lightning never strike the same place twice' " and then, i was like.. dang son!

  • @AzeriXify And then you read the description? :)

  • @Gurksallad10 yep! i did indeed :D

  • make it slower.....

  • @Jakeyboy3095

Trying to make this slower is similar to trying to make you smarter- Not much can be done about it.

  • @AnythingSlowMotion okay :(

  • @Jakeyboy3095 This whole clip happened in .0268 seconds. I think that's pretty damn slow.

  • @NikaziO14 lol well it still seems to fast :P

  • @Jakeyboy3095 Any slower it would be a still photo! xD

  • Lolololol wait wot?

  • No... Not that great... I'm sorry t say

  • wut
