The female dancer is Bala. She is an excellently trained dancer, senior-most student of Guru Vempati Chinna Sathyam. She is still performing and teaching the art to many students in India. I met her at Cleveland Tyagaraja Aradhana last year. Wonderful artiste.

wow. some really mediocre students tried to replicate this exact dance, costumes and all, this year in rockville, md, but their dance wasn't even 5% as good as this one and was sadly quite sloppy. i think it's a combination of the synchronization and crispness of form...the way that the artists in this video perform is so entrancing and amazing.
A total brain cleanser, complete treat to all my senses, mind blowing choreography by Mastero Padmabhushan Dr.VempatiChinna Satyam, proud to be one among hundreds of his students.
So the reality is that I'm not sure. When I was a kid, the three videos for Srinivas Kalyanam that I am posting came out a year after I was born. I know they are partly Vempati Chinna Satyam's orginal few students. It's because of these specific videos that I started to learn Kuchipudi, so I wanted to share them. I know the Vaikunta video has Sasikala in it, but I'm not sure who these two were. Excellent though...
This is Guru Vempati Chinna Satyam's ballet Srinivasa Kalyanam. I believe the name of the dancer playing Shiva is Kishore and the artist playing Parvathi is Bala Kondala Rao, who is one of Master garu's senior most students. This is a gem of a dance.

Parvati is played by Bala, but the man playing Siva is Madhavapeddi Murthy (aka "Baji").
